CFB Daily showing Miami's Defense some Luv

Dari hates on us every single chance he gets. I always expect him to say how Miami is over rated. Or leave us out of every top five he has and puts Clemson as most impressive after beating WF.

Indeed.

IMO no way Georgia blows their doors off even without Easley. I wouldn't be surprised if UiF beat them at all.

Correct. Canes fans are underestimating just how good that uf.ag defense is and what a great accomplishment it was kicking their asses. All of a sudden, everyone's gagging on Richt's weener. 3 weeks ago, he was a bum.

Losing Easley really hurts that defense.
He's good for at least 5 disruptive plays a game where he's getting a TFL, or hurrying or sacking the qb.
Without him an opposing team gets an extra half dozen 1st downs.
How many more points would we have scored without him playing?
I'd say at least 14.

I don't think I'm underestimating their defense at all. Nor in any way am I throwing a bucket of cold water on our win. It was a fantastic win. My opinion stems from the fact that offensive efficiency has an effect on defensive efficiency and vice versa.

UF's offense is so inept that they will put their defense in a bad spot (more than just one time I'll bet) especially against an athletic defense like UGAs (they are not world beaters by any stretch, but they got some players) and that will be enough to gain a considerable separation in the scoreline.

Perhaps saying they win in a "laffer" was a bit exaggerated (can you blame me? I'm a Canes fan...seeing them lose by a half a point makes me giddy), but I feel UGA wins convincingly and if they don't then they really need a new coach.

UGA's defense is a toilet. As sorry as uf.ag is offensively, they will make plays against that UGA defense.

He's one of the 2 or 3 best players in college football, so you're right that losing him hurts. They're pretty deep on that DL though, so we're going to see how much it impacts them. I know that teams like UGA won't be facing anywhere near the D that we faced with Easley.

I really want to bump all the Coach D threads from over the past two years. Some people are clueless.

Since you just got here,I'll do it for you.Last year was pretty epic.

It was pathetic on 247 (even noticed the same when I came over here) with people wanting to fire him so I can only imagine... I get that he wasn't calling the best D for a quick fix but have some perspective people. Rome wasn't built in a day.
