So….

IF Miami was “messing” with Lucas as early as July….then why are we just now hearing about this?

And why would discovery matter if it’s between the Wisky/Big 10 and Miami/Lucas

Some folks don’t want to see Miami relevant. For far too long these programs made a living on players Miami should have signed

This was the punishment for a head coach hit with tampering. And let's face it, there's no way Mario getting caught up. If anything it would be some grad assistant or something.

  • One year of probation.
  • A $5,000 fine.
  • A two-week prohibition on all recruiting activities for the football program during a permissible recruiting period in 2024. One week (seven consecutive days) took place April 15-21 during the spring transfer window for football.
  • A suspension from one regular-season game during the 2023 football season for Fitzgerald.
  • A two-year show-cause order for Fitzgerald. During the show-cause order, any employing member school shall impose a two-week off-campus recruiting ban for Fitzgerald, including one week during the spring transfer window. Fitzgerald will also be suspended from all recruiting communications for one week during the 2025 transfer window.

What governing body or rules etc says that tampering isn't permissable in the first place at this point?

Whatever rules college football has are all just fictions at this point.

@Canes Legacy make a post on X saying that you’re hearing from reliable sources that have incriminating evidence tot Lucas was pressured by a key member of UW staff to sign the rev share agreement or risk losing playing time

The way these UW ***** are acting, I’m going to be slandering everyone. I’ll prob catch a lawsuit at some point. Maybe Heitner represent me for free.

Tried to warn some of you on this point- Wisconsin has power in the big ten.

Still **** Wisconsin

Get ready for Iowa state to become a rival 🤣

all kidding aside, if Miami somehow is proven of tampering -which I doubt but who knows what “evidence” they claim to have - and down the road this acquisition somehow Impacts realignment, well that would suck to high heaven

They’d have to argue he’s under contract. If he’s signing an aid agreement it’s not going to be a contractual obligation Lucas has to fulfill.

I feel like this ends one way, kids signing year to year contracts. Then every kid will have a free agency period after some arbitrary date like say 1/25 every year if they don’t “resign” before then. Even if we did tamper, some staffer will get some dumb penalty. No way Wisconsin comes out of this looking smart. They’ll claim we ruined CFB but them being whiny *** babies will.
