bc it wasn't an even playing field. we get the NCAA on our asses for boat parties & car rentals. so yeah, the bamas n ohio states of the world were getting anyone they want for a leased car & a couple thousand dollar.It makes sense. But dropping bags like they used to makes it weird they do NIL so poorly imo.
now it's a level playing field n the cost of talent acquisition went up. more competition for top talent, more ppl willing to pay more
easy for the local car dealership to loan out a car to a player, not as easy to have to cough up a couple hundred thousand minimum. I'm sure they can get players still, they won't be able to get whoever they want though n they won't be able to not play those kids bc they'll take the money & hit the portal the 1st moment they get.
