If he is flipping to the U, then maybe the staff knows that Byrd is gone. Why else would the staff want a player who thinks he can't play for Florida?

Or we lack depth at CB?

...he'll play special teams dude until he's ready. It's very safe to say we have 5 playable corners and he might even catch an RS if we sign Henry Miller but we need depth and he's not just a body he's got some talent

I know he isn't as horrible as some on here are making him out to be....he would be a good depth guy....don't see a problem with him. But im thinking he sticks with Florida

Gogerta4 what's your opinion of the OL commit we got the other day?

I played Tackle.....know the position pretty well.

Me personally i want my tackles, left or right to be pretty good athletes...meaning have played multiple sports or can.

I want BBALL guys at tackle...because of the feet. I got looks from colleges based off my feet...and that feet came solely from playing BBALL my whole life at a good level.

This kid seems to be that. He plays basketball has a long wingspan....if his feet are solid thats base you work on right now, our ol last year literally was littered with GUARD quality guys....and guys with bad feet..poor conditioning which led to bad feet(lazy feet) and bad technique.

I take kids like Johnson ever year...you cant really teach length...its part of the reason Sunny Odogwu looked solid out wide this year just based off his length because he has slow feet and isn't that technical as he is very raw.

Johnson may challenge for a starting spot as a sophomore here. Love the pick up...wasn't a fan of Juwann Taylor who we had committed he is a guard all the way.

McWilliams played at SW who other than Lamarcus Joyner hasn't produced any thing...he has a thin frame...and will see a step up in comp....to me their are other db's in s.fla we could of attacked if we really wanted something. These guys are fairly new...gotta watch their evals..more so than their recruiting. Can they pick out talent especially in an area that is LOADED with it where certain guys may not stand out. Lot of them never have on our staff. I trust Richt and his qb evals, Searles and what he wants in an ol, and Coach Kool. The rest of these guys are on probation...Dugans has done a good job at previous stops as well

Think of Tre Johnson as Bar Milo but way less refined. Yea McWilliams isn't Phillip Buchanan but I can see him playing nickel a lot here and being a 4th CB, just to expand on what gogeta
