Carson Beck signs. He's a Cane!

Will they, though?

Cam could be the No. 1 overall pick, while ND and probably OSU will play for the title with their one-year QB's.

A worse problem is coaches fooling themselves into thinking they've got a true difference-maker at QB when in fact he's a JAG who'll eventually get them fired.

We've seen a pattern of that at UM since the early 2000's until CW1 came to town

you do know beck is a JAG right......

he's just not the JAG you've seen play for our team, yet.

While not a big fan, I feel better
It’s difficult to get too excited about these moves on the player or coaching side after the let down from this season. Our offense won’t be as good but should be good enough. Still have no idea and concerns on the defensive side.

In general, how quick we transition from “Fire Mario, shut down the program” to “15-0 baby!”
I don't think anyone is saying 15-0 lol. We've got a major improvement at QB as long as the elbow is GTG...we won't know that until he starts throwing the football. But at least we don't have to rely on noodle arm Emory. Beck should help us get other top recruits, especially WRs

You just gotta love fans. However, you think we got here and admittedly it was a big gamble with some of the strategy. We still got a quarterback that was going to get drafted this year despite an injury. Was the preseason pick to be the number one quarterback off the board last year And despite having a so-called bad season, it would’ve been the second best quarterback season in Miami has had in 20 years, but people are like yeah whatever or hate it.

Amazing isn't it?

And this with the signing of a guy who can't even physically throw until after Spring Practice and who spent the previous season throwing at all too high of a rate to players in the other jersey. I hope he pulls off a Cam-like senior season. If not, this place will get ugly.

Beck certainly was this year — and even worse at times when he pressed trying to live up his early draft evals.

But it's worth noting Beck was saddled with a replacement level OC, an astonishingly unimpressive group of receivers for a program that recruits at UGA's level and a revolving door at left tackle that gave up way more than their share of opponents' 37 sacks (for comparison's sake, UM allowed 20 sacks). All that on top of losing a All-American tight end (and Beck's safety net) who set his NFL franchise's record with 112 catches as a rookie.

To me, it's gonna come down to the guy's work ethic, preparation and atiitude from the day he steps on campus.

If Beck busts his *** and is a team leader from the jump, he and the Canes have the chance to be pretty darn good.

If he just goes through the motions and isn't fully invested, it's gonna be bad for both sides.

Totally up to him

... you see Buscemi, I see Tom Petty's illegitimate love child, which is a real possibility as the kid IS from Jacksonville and Petty spent a lot of time of there as a Gainesville native.

Pretty good college qb that has great talent but has serious brain farts at times. He’s not Cam, but he’s enough qb. Calling him a “ jag “ is hyperbole. And that’s coming from a guy that’s not his biggest fan.
Brock Berlin vibes…let’s do it

Hate to be that guy.... but we will have this discussion again in January 2026. Are we going to keep acquiring 5th year seniors every year?

He committed so fast because he has to. It's still a bit of a gamble to go with him. Probably got him for cheap too. The one bright side to the surgery is it actually makes the arm stronger.
Wonder what cheap is when they had his NIL value at a ridiculous $4.1 million or so
