Carson Beck commits to Miami

Schedule seems tougher

Notre Dame, a better Gator team and impossible not to be a better Noles team.
I appreciate someone actually saying “seems tougher”

Some people are acting like we are suddenly facing this gauntlet before rosters are even finalized

That’s why the SEC hypers make fun of the ACC

I think it's more that our November schedule is set up for failure:

At SMU
Cuse
NCST
at VT
at Pitt

Last 2 games away in basically December. Now if we actually field a defense this year that of course makes a difference but that's still a tough finish, IMO.

Imagine a legit contender thinking that’s a tough finish set up for failure

I mean fair, and you're right that rosters aren't even set yet, but the last we saw of our team was falling on its collective *** in November again so I'm still shell shocked/pussified etc.
Don’t get me wrong brother

I’m with you

I’m just not happy about it

Many medicore opponents, similarly disappointing results over the last decade:

2024: 2-2
2023: 1-3
2022: 1-3
2021: 3-1
2020: 2-0
2019: 2-2
2018: 2-2
2017: 3-1
2016: 4-0
2015: 3-1

23-15 in November.

Larry Scott: 3-1 (1 interim season);
Mark Richt: 9-3 (3 seasons);
Manny Diaz: 7-3 (3 seasons);
Mario Cristobal: 4-8 (3 seasons).

The problem isn't our opponents.

Agreed, are we contenders or pretenders? If in fact, we have moved the needle on culture and mind set then they line up and play every game to win going in. The work ethic has changed. IMO, the offense thinks they’re contenders. Defensively is where culture/mind set change has to come.Right now the D is suffering from “abused spouse syndrome “If they come out and say Enough and kick the S**t outta ND from the get go, we might be on to something. Just sayin’

It’s hard not to think we should contend when you take a good look at the QB rosters around the country

On paper it’s pretty rough. If Drew Allar and Arch Manning are at the top on paper…I mean cmon

We’ve got a little ways to go but yeah a few things go our way in the spring portal and we stay healthy then I’ll be pretty optimistic

This. I'll be as stoked as anyone if we beat ND and UF, but the whole season will be "let's see what happens in Nov/Dec." Those last two games are the exact type of teams that have tripped us up for decades. Not as talented, but plenty talented to beat us.

I think these statistics are misleading - Diaz finished strong because his teams were playing with house money.

Best season Manny had was the C19 year with D. King.

Both Mario and Manny have each had 1 “successful” season (I say C19 year with Diaz was successful because if Pope and Wigs remember how to catch the ball, we win the bowl game vs OKST where King blows his ACL, and Kosi plays big time football).

2025 is Year 4 for Mario and from this point forward, nothing less than 10 wins annually is the standard.

SMU and Cuse will be taking a step back this year. Vt & Pitt are average. **** VT lost half its team.
