Impressive disaster contingency plan that Coach Golden had in place. Attention to detail and planning for unforseen events is a hallmark of a good leader.

For those who are saying, "Can he even coach RBs?"
Realistically, as a running back you either got it or you don't, lots of the skillset is innate and a RB coach develop those tools that you already have as stronger.
The RB coach simply has to know the assignment that the RBs have on all the plays and have drills that accelerated those skills a RB has.
The only reason I know this is. I played RB at the college level, (in Canada) and coached it for 5 years.
The only time an RB coach can coach up a player as an RB is when you go from a downhill scheme to a zone blocking scheme in open space. The only difference is you have to teach either, hit the hole hard and fast (point of attack, ex. Frank Gore), or be patient wait for the blocks to develop and make one cut and go uphill (zone, ex. is Arian Foster)
He'll be more then fine since he has been coaching football for a number of years and RB coaching is usually the starting point for coaches when moving up the rank for a reason, if you've noticed.
Full court press on Ray Lewis
this is not happening
Thanks Mike. Cane for life

Sorry to see Coach Borrow go. "Family issues" is the canned response, so I wonder what's the real reason. Seems odd he would do this 4 days prior to camp opening. Looking at the positives, feel good about Hurlie assuming the LB coaching and local recruiting can only be bolstered with Kevin Beard coming on board.
Prayers to Coach Barrow, hope his mother makes it.

They gave you the real reason. His mother is dying. Have you ever had to deal with losing a mother? If not I have and I can tell you that it is almost impossible to concentrate on work.
This becomes and increasingly difficult challenge with Barrow's position. Trying to coach, watch film, recruit would be **** near impossible. What if we had a visit or call scheduled for a recruit and Barrow had to leave because if Mother was having a terrible day and he needed to be there. Or him having to miss practices to tend to his mother.
