thomas and kirkland aren't going to usf and i doubt they are going to fsu.
w/ all due respect to pete, i think our chances for collins are much higher, there are a lot of others (who are in the know) who would still be surprised if he doesn't come here.

as others said, once the season is over and this staff gets on the road, i'm confident some of these kids will reaffirm their commitment and those on the fence will commit.
we aren't taking that many jucos. jucos don't get into UM that easily and i don't see them taking 5 jucos.

Let's be real. You can't expect to compete for bigger things, and give your program legitimate "brand" status again by losing local talents like Thomas and Collins. Both once committed to you (or thought of lean in one case) and now you lose them three months before signing day? Disturbing considering just how essential they each are to Miami. Collins is easily the best back in Florida and, to me, better and more of a fit and more essential to Miami, than Green. Collins is the true RB this team lacks. By true RB I mean a Clinton Portis/ mcgahee type or RB. Thomas is a talent like Bush who in his frosh year will give you 15 super quality snaps and make you drool over his growth.
Yes kids are kids and they can make their decisions on random things and go to school somewhere else. But to me, this kind of talent can not and should not, ever, leave your area code. Specially of they had genuine interest at one point in Miami and most particularly losing them to your rival...who is stacked at those respective units.

Guys, at this time last year the same inside sources were saying Tracy Howard was silent to gators and deon bush was an auburn lock or bama silent. These sources don't know **** and these kids change there ,inds a thousand times. After watching Golde recruit for the last 2 years, I believe we will win ,oat if thee battles.

Someone mentioned it in a different thread that it would be in poor taste for AG to be publicly giving away spots still held by current players. I think it will be 15 without attrition. As we have seen attrition is always good for 3-5 spots a year. So prob a class of 17-18 is more likely.
I think I'm in denial with Collins. I still feel we pull him . Refuse to believe he's gone. Its too much of a perfect fit. How could Collins turn down the huge role waiting for him here in his hometown?

FWIW, I spoke to many people, Tracy included, and can tell you FOR A FACT that he was going to UF up until he took that visit to Coral Gables.

I honestly believe that Thomas is going to be 50/50 down to the wire. I think Collins is 33/33/33 as well. I think people that think he is all FSU and don't even consider Wisconsin are mistaken.
A lot of guys say they are torn all the way to NSD when you know they aren't but we have some legit recruiting wars for some elite prospects coming up. These are the guys that if they come in as a group can mean the difference between bowl games and BCS games.
