There are a lot of interesting percentage changes from the previous update about 2 moths ago.

Changes From Previous Update
Removed S Leroy Clark (Miami not recruiting)
Removed OL Sandley Jean-Felix (committed to FIU)
Removed CB Will Likely (Miami not recruiting)
Added LB Skai Moore
Added DT Toby Johnson
Added DE Al-Quadin Muhammad

Percentage Key
0-10 Extremely Low Chance
15-25 Low Chance
30-40 Decent Chance
45-60 Good Chance
65-75 Great Chance
80-95 Virtual Lock
100 Lock

In parentheses is the expected number that Miami will take at that position.

QB (1)

Kevin Olsen (commit): Olsen hasn't been able to play this season due to a broken foot, but is expected back in the next few weeks.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%
10/10: 100%

RB (1)

Alex Collins (commit): Collins visited Wisconsin over the weekend and didn't commit or give any indication that he would, which is a good sign. It is very unlikely he goes back for a visit considering that was his official. He will be at FSU this weekend for a visit, but the Badgers are more of a threat than the 'Noles. I am feeling better about his commitment than I was last week.
7/25: 65%
8/13: 75%
10/10: 80%

AJ Turman: Turman still has some interest, but as long as Collins sticks, the staff won't be pushing hard for him.
7/25: 30%
8/13: 10%
10/10: 5%

WR (1)
Coley is all but off the board and it doesn't look like Cunningham will get a committable offer.

Angelo Jean-Louis (commit): The 2012 signee will be here in January; he’s at Fork Union Military Academy for the season. His commitment has always been strong and the coaches love him. A close source told me he is not even being considered as a DB as some have suspected.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%
10/10: 100%

Stacy Coley: Too many issues surrounding Coley for the staff to go all in on him. There would have been a chance to land him, but the coaches feel confident with AJL.
7/25: 15%
8/13: 35%
10/10: 5%

Jordan Cunningham: The U-School receiver doesn't have a committable offer right now and it is highly unlikely he gets one. He would have pulled the trigger a while back if he did. Very good player, but lacks ideal explosiveness.
7/25: 60%
8/13: 65%
10/10: 15%

TE (3)
Miami is more than happy with their current crop of tight end commits and all three are extremely solid. No worries with their level of commitment. ***No changes on any of their level of commitments from the previous update. ***

Travis Johnson (commit): (100%)

Standish Dobard (commit): (100%)

Jeremy Kerr (commit): FSU is starting to show interest in him as an offensive lineman. Their staff has gone to see him play a couple times this year. I still look at him as a tight end because I don't think he has the frame to become a lineman down the line. (100%)

OL (2-3)
Ideally, 3 would be the number at OL, but the options are slim after Kirkland and Gall.

Alex Gall (commit): (100%)

Denver Kirkland: Miami still holds a lead over FSU, but the 'Noles are still in the picture. As of right now, I feel very strong about Miami's chances.
7/25: 55%
8/13: 60%
10/10: 70%

Hunter Knighton: Kehoe offered the New Jersey lineman on the spot at a camp. If Miami really wants him, there is a realistic shot with him.
7/25: NA
8/13: 40%
10/10: 30%

Roderick Johnson: Former UF commitment has expressed interest in Miami, but the staff is not currently recruiting him and he does not have an offer.
7/25: NA
8/13: 15%
10/10: 5%

DT (2-3)
JuCo is a major possibility.

Keith Bryant (commit): After rumors of him possibly switching his commitment to South Carolina over the weekend, we cleared those rumors up yesterday.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%
10/10: 100%

Maquedius Bain: Bain mysteriously "dropped" the 'Canes off his list last month. Very weird situation considering he was a near lock before that. He is only playing offensive line for his team right now so I think that might have been a red flag with the Miami staff and caused them to back off.
7/25: 80%
8/13: 85%
10/10: 25%

Jaynard Bostwick: Miami continues to hold a steady lead for Bostwick. UF is the biggest competition right now.
7/25: 60%
8/13: 65%
10/10: 70%
Toby Johnson: The top JuCo DL in the country has maintained that he has interest in Miami and will most likely take a visit after the season. Getting him on campus would be huge, but ultimately I do not see him coming here.
10/10: 15%

Deadrin Senat: The former FSU commit likes Miami a lot, but has not been offered. He could be a realistic option if they can’t land Bostwick or Bain. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 10%
8/13: 10%
10/10: 5%

DE (1)
It's kind of surprising that the staff hasn't made this more of a priority, but it looks like Williams or bust.

Tim Williams: Williams continues to state in interviews that Miami is recruiting him the hardest and that he loves the 'Canes, but I am still being told that it would be a surprise to see him wind up here. His family is adamant about him staying home. the chances are still decent, but he needs to make a visit down to Coral Gables soon because he has canceled multiple times. Remember he has a small child, which could be a big factor in his decision.
7/25: 45%
8/13: 55%
10/10: 45%

Al-Quadin Muhammad: The Don Bosco Prep star has been recruited by Miami since last year and has a good relationship with the staff. The latest buzz with him is that he may be a committing to Notre Dame soon or is close to a done deal.
10/10: 10%

LB (2-3)
Things are looking up at linebacker for this class.

Matthew Thomas: A lot of positive things are happening behind the scenes with Thomas. His mother continues to push Miami on him and he is warming up to the idea of staying home. FSU is still a huge threat, but the 'Canes are in MUCH better position for his services at this point compared to even a month ago.
7/25: 45%
8/13: 40%
10/10: 60%

Jermaine Grace: Things are still steady with Grace in regards to being a huge Miami lean. He will wait out the process in all likelihood.
7/25: 85%
8/13: 90%
10/10: 90%

Quinten James: Does not have a committable offer, but loves Miami. I don't see the staff offering.
7/25: NA
8/13: 25%
10/10: 10%

Mike Parker: The versatile VA product loves Miami and is still in contact with the staff. I see him as a kid that is still a plan B option, but the staff could just decide at any moment that he is worthy of a committable offer. His percentage drops based on the fact that the staff still isn't all in on him.
7/25: 35%
8/13: 45%
10/10: 30%

Skai Moore: The newest addition to the board is a player who I have been extremely impressed by this year. In the first game of the year, he had a pick-6 against Trotwood from Ohio. I went to see him play last week against Chaminade and he was the best defensive player on the field. He is very aggressive and fluid. Size is the only concern, but I personally think he has room to grow. He was in the news today because Ohio State just offered him. I'm not sure what his interest in Miami would be if the 'Canes offered, but I am looking into it. No percentage on him until I get that info.

CB (0-1)
Not a priority after last year's class.
Mackensie Alexander: Many people have asked about the 'Canes' standing with Alexander, but the truth is that the there has not been interest from both sides in months.
7/25: 15%
8/13: 15%
10/10: 5%

S (2)
It looks like 2 could is the final number. Ray Lewis III thinks he will wind up playing safety, so that could slide Burns to corner, which might benefit him.

Artie Burns (commit): Burns is having a good season at MNW. No worries with his commitment.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%
10/10: 100%

Jamal Carter (commit): One of the most solid commitments. His Southridge team is disappointing this year. I wish we could see more of him on offense.
7/25: 95%
8/13: 100%
10/10: 100%

ATH
Ray Lewis III (commit): Lewis III thinks he will be a safety, while he says Golden likes him at corner. A lot of options with him, as he could even play running back.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%
10/10: 100%

Good stuff, LeGif.

Is Toby Johnson the only JUCO DT getting love from the staff?

We're going to be in November very shortly, and I'd hate for us to be sitting there with one name on the board at JUCO at DT.

This list will get interesting in December, this staff is very good at pulling surprises late when they get into full recruitment mode. I think this is a solid base to jump off in December and snag a top profile recruit or two late

Yup, same goes for DE. LOVE Tim Williams, but dang, I've seen this movie 10 times and I know how it ends - top rated LA product...you figure it out.

I would hate to be left holding our d1cks when Tim decides on some other school and we're left fishing through the scrap heap for Holliett type of kid.

need to also get on Zadarius Smith from Juco. You know there will be more juco guys emerging after the season, so I'm not totally worried about us not getting one.

Hoilett probably isn't a good example since we saw him early and wanted him very much.

But I am willing to bet we get a JuCo DE. I'm not sold on a JuCo DT and while some may think the sky is falling with that I think its more because they really like the class they just brought in and love the Bryant/Bkstwick combo to add to it.

DE is where we really need a JuCo body and the fact that Tim Williams, a 50/50 bet at best, is our main target tells me we have things in the works.

With this staff I do have faith.

I wasn't really thinking too much about an example of a player - but you get what my point is.

I've always been of a mindset that your defense starts with your DTs. You have strong DTs, and you can have average DEs. Not necessarily the other way around.

I'm super thrilled about Bryant and Bostwick. Need one more stud in there and it's an A+ class, especially to complement Ivery and Moore. With DE, however, you have a bunch of JAGS on the roster, even though I'm hoping Ricky Williams can be a surprise for us.

I actually have hope for O'Donnell and Hoilett. Hoilett was said to be very athletic, of course he needs a year or two of weight training though. Plus McCord will be good once he puts on weight. Also, Gabe Terry could be a good situational rusher once he adds weight and gets his technique down.

We probably do need a JuCo DE to help out next season, but our freshmen right now will be good later. However, I don't think Golden wants to wait for later and neither do I.

I'd like to add again that Jamal Carter is an absolute STUD and will play from day 1. him and Bush at S is something to be excited about

Although our DT's suck this season, I like what we have waiting in the wings. Especially with Bryant and most likely Bostwick coming in. I say go all out after Toby Johnson and get him down for a visit and see what happens but if he doesn't come at least you went all in.

Adding Matt Thomas and Grace to our young LB corps would be huge.

I love our DB situation with last years class and Burns plus Carter makes it extremely nice.

That OL class is looking atrocious given our needs. Take a look at the depth chart for 2013 and 2014, considering that Henderson and J Johnson likely wont be back. It's awful. Our OL recruiting in general has been awful under Golden and this year appears to be more of the same. We should be stocking up with 17-18 OL like every other big time program, going 3-4 deep, and instead it looks like we will have barely 12 and that includes kids like Wheeler and Wells. Why would we shortchange the most important unit on the team after QB? Terrible. Hopefully, Kerr grows into an athletic OT ala Jason Fox.

Safety is another huge question mark. Rayshawn Jenkins hasnt shown anything yet, we all know the mediocrity of AJ and Kacy. Not only are we starving for bodies with only 4 returning safeties, we lack proven talent there after Bush. We should be adding at least one more pure stud safety prospect to go with Burns/Carter. Otherwise, I would love to see AJL tried out at safety first.

Otherwise, i am excited about the Collins news and the rest of the class. If we close with Kirkland, Knighton, another OL, Bostwick, Williams, Grace, Thomas, and a pure safety, it would be a **** fine class.

everything is great except for addressing the glaring weakness of the team- DLine

Oh of course. You're a wise man AU.

I think these % are your best probability for each kid so far since you started doing the "big board". Agree with all of them.
