I don't think that it should be an automatic ejection. There should be degrees to it, like a flagrant foul in basketball. Some plays are straight up foul, and a guy should be ejected, some are incidental but are still targeting and there should be a flag thrown. However, the incidental contact fouls shouldn't result in an ejection.

Like I said ... it's poorly administered at best.
