Targeting is the single worst penalty in any sport ever.

I don't see what benefit it adds to the game.

The players still get hit in the head - that's always going to happen when everyone is running 100mph out there.

It's also horribly enforced - it used to be incredibly difficult to get thrown out of a game. Now one slight misstep and you're gonzo.
