I actually looked up his credentials cause you made me curious. He's got some pretty good chops. Sidwell Friends, engineering degree from Cornell, contributions to NASA and the space program and impactful work at Boeing back then is no joke. The 747 thing is pretty cool. That he uses his credentials and knowledge to get students interested in math and science is a plus in my book.

Bill Nye is an American science educator and mechanical engineer best known for hosting the television program Bill Nye the Science Guy.

After attending the private Sidwell Friends School, Nye enrolled at Cornell University, where he studied mechanical engineering. Upon earning his Bachelor of Science degree, Nye went on to begin his career at The Boeing Company in Seattle, where he would live for many years. Nye developed a hydraulic pressure resonance suppressor that is still used in the Boeing 747.

When Nye isn't acting, making TV and film appearances or writing, he is working as a scientist. In the early 2000s, he helped develop sundials that were used in the Mars Exploration Rover missions. From 2005 to 2010, he served as vice president and then as second executive director of The Planetary Society, one of the largest space-interest groups in the world.

For several years, Nye served as the Frank H. T. Rhodes Visiting Professor at Cornell. He holds honorary doctorate degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Goucher College and Johns Hopkins.

Did you watch the clip of him blowing out the candle or just blindly go into your response? Watch if you thinks masks won’t help. Doesn’t take a COVID expert To see the obvious.

Yes that stat is 100% true. And look at the number of hospitalizations, over a quarter of a million.

Also H1N1 killed far, far more young people and children than Corona. This strain has a worse effect older Americans.

1. It doesn't hurt to try wearing a mask
2. If you believe in this virus hoax, masks waste cash
3. Anyone who supports Trump is an idiot and inferior to Biden
4. All politicians are in it together and Trump is ruining their plans.
5. Fauci has Dimensia
6. Corona is the onset of Revelations
7. Everybody knows HCQ is the REAL cure
8. It is harmless to play with every deadly creature on earth if you know the SECRET.
9. Some crazy ***** used the threat of cutting off her hubby to get him to drink fish tank TP
10. We could all use a fat blunt like caneinorlando after reading thru this doozy.

The mask requirement went into effect July 1st for Dade and Broward and week earlier for Palm Beach. We should start seeing a drop in cases assuming masks are as useful as professed.

It's a moot point. As a nurse I can assure you that masks are minimally effective at best. Cloth masks- stop virtually nothing. Surgical masks- work solely within a sterile environment. N95 masks- stop the highest concentration of microbes yet are still quite subpar, this is way even in hospitals where PPE is extensive doctors and nurses can still be infected and commonly do. Proper hand washing/hygiene, effective distancing are more effective than masks will ever be, the mask simply allows people's minds to be pacified and lulled into a false sense of security.

I was on New Smyrna beach last weekend. Socially distanced, certainly.

I watched a group of no less than 25 people all gather together for a huge group picture on the beach. No masks. All literally touching.

To say that social distancing and mask guidelines are being followed 100% is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. Not. Even. Close.
