Dominating a 1-4 team is not gonna change anyones mind. Its a significant game for Canes fans but on a national scale it means almost nothing.

Unfortunately this. This game can only hurt our national status. If we struggle then it will validate the SEC homers claims of us not deserving this ranking. If we dominate, it will be said that we should have dominated an inferior team.

Admittedly LVille will be much less a team w/o TB, but... they will be ACC next year so in one way it's 4 - 3 ACC over SEC. Coaches poll is the important one - think we might not be top 10 in that. Go 6 and 0 on Thursday that may change. Think we might also see FSwho jump Clemson?

Its about style points now.

Louisville has already looked unimpressive against Rutgers....

Miami will have the opportunity to show out against an inferior team like FSU did when it played Pittsburgh.... all eyes will be on Miami/UNC thursday.

If Miami is looking ridiculous out there in a good way... and Louisville puts out another unimpressive performance against UCF then Miami will have a very good shot at jumping over Louisville.

Miami and UCLA are now in position to both jump over Louisville.

Lulz at Missouri being ranked 14th an UGA still in the top 20.

So Washington loses to the #5 (13th now) and #2 ranked teams in the country and drop to 25. UGA loses to the #7 ranked team (now 3rd) and I believe an unranked Missouri team (now 14th) and they are 16th.

Lulz at the ranking system in college football.

Blown out by a 2 loss Georgia, struggled with UCF, struggled with UNC, beat the SEC scrubs in Arkansas, Vandy and Kentucky.

Sorry, thats not the 8th best team in the country.
 
And VT's one loss is to Alabama. If this **** was fair - they'd be right up there with LSU. Right?

Take UF and Michigan with them. Drop Texas A&M out of the top 15 too.
 
I am absolutely SICKENED by porsters on Canesport and Canestime who are belittling this ranking bc "we haven't beaten anyone good". Certain people just can't stomach seeing Al clean up Randy's mess so they belittle what has become a really exciting season.

As long as we win, WHO CARES who we beat. Just keep winning and this program will recruit so well that we'll be able to beat anybody.

UF might have the hardest schedule remaining the country at this point

@ Missouri, Georgia, @ South Carolina and FSU still ahead.

Could lose 6 games.
