Kid's film is sick, how long has it been since we have had someone with that type of speed coming off the edge?

The same argument can be made against HS or Prep kids. You scout players and then put them in the D1 system.

The bottom line is we have no quality elder statesmen at DE, we need just that.

You're right. I just don't think people should get super excited and say that we haven't had a kid that looked like that in a decade. Just cause he looks good on film against Juco, doesn't mean that he will look that way against D1 linemen. Same with how film on HS kids shouldn't have people convinced that they'll be superstars.

Agreed. I think people are excited because of the crap play we have seen at the position. They remain hopeful that some JUCO can fix it.

This guy has some burst. Reminds me a bit of Spencer Adkins at first glance. And I mean that in a good way-- Adkins would have been a killer pass rusher in this scheme.

Looks pretty solid, but I didn't see the pass rush moves some alluded to. Most of his plays in the backfield looked speed rushes where he just got past the tackle's shoulder before they could react. Didn't see many plays where he broke from solid engagement, but maybe that's good and just means that he was just too fast for them to square up on him.

Apart from a few TFLs where he was unblocked vs the run, he was almost always engaged by the OL, ie: the had there hands all over him, but couldn´t stop him from getting round the corner.
