I used to make daily phone calls to hear if Bill Buchalter updated the recordings on the Orlando Sentinel's recruiting hotline. Late 90's.

I can still hear Buchalter’s voice saying Buck Ortega, Jason Gaethers, Dan Morgan, and Nate Webster.

And if we were lucky, we'd get to go to the library at Valencia Community College and use their computers to try to read recruiting updates.

One of Mario’s first, maybe it was his first, commits this cycle? We got linked to every single elite OL in the country and landed several of them

Not much was ever said about him, certainly no buzz about being dropped etc

Every article i've read on this guy since the commitment has been about how he is "ready to work" and "can't wait to get in a uniform". Very little on him looking around except for the chatter about him maybe being dropped. His good character showed too because he continued with the same comments even after the talk about dropping him.

I knew Bill real well. So did @TheOriginalCane .....From 91-93 I lived 1 block from the Orlando Sentinel. Had lunch with Bill many times at Mama B's Subs. His sister is a UM Grad, 1956 I believe.
