Canes cancel 2014-15 series with Memphis

Though he presumably would have left for Nebraska regardless, a UM source said it didn’t help that former athletic director Shawn Eichorst’s Pinecrest home was robbed – with lots taken, including his wife’s jewelry – while he was traveling to Boston for the football opener this season.

He should've had ADT.

Or Eddie Johnson and Ramon Buchanon out in front. But for real - can't someone of that stature live in a gated community.

Pinecrest is a really wealthy area with a usually strict police dept...don't speed on 67th ave they will find you

Man, this SUCKS for us that live in Memphis!!!!!! I was counting the minutes until 2015. I'll be damned!!!...

And for the record, check the SEC rosters. There are several players from Memphis playing in the SEC. Not that Miami has to go to Memphis to get a player, but there are always a few studs in Memphis..

Good. Get out of the Toledo series unless it just them coming to play in Miami

UVA, VT, UNC, GT, FSU, PITT, DUKE, 1 BIG NAME, 1 FCS, 2 ACC CROSSOVERS...There's 11 games going forward, 1 more makes full regular season schedule.

and by "don't speed" you mean "don't go 38 in a 35" ... and when they pull you over, every pinecrest cop on duty will show up because there is nothing else going on in pinecrest.

I'd like to add games against some midtier SEC opponents. Like when we had the home and home with Tennessee. Teams like Ole Miss, Vandy, Tennessee, etc. provide good tests for the team and exposure for the program in that part of the country.

I like the idea of getting our brand out to the midtier SEC teams homes. Good for recruiting and a guaranteed win...well... ;)

I'm with that.

Schedule games in Fl, TX, CA, LA and NJ just those schools and Notre Dame is all we should see on our OOC schedule. Enough schools in those states to never have to play anywhere else.

Perhaps to free up space for Notre Dame "ACC" games?

I know we're staying at 8 Conf. Games in the ACC, but this was my thought as well.

Also if we're doing 8 Conf ACC games, this is my recommended schedule for the other 4 OOC.

1. Big time opponent (Oklahoma, USC, Texas)

2. Local Florida Powder Puff (FAU type to help with recruiting)

3. Crappy BCS team (Area where we recruit)

4. 1 FCS Team (Home Game)
