Canes Camp Report: Day 11

Yearby is filthy. Poor armbrister and Crawford. Joe served both of them. Duke, Yearby and Gus is a strong backfield.

Yearby's got that quality that good backs are born with...he can cut and change direction while losing minimal speed/momentum in the process.

I would love to see some 2 back Shotgun formations with both him and Duke on the field together. Send each of them into opposite flats and it's a matter of time before you get a slow linebacker matched up against one of them in space.

Yep, we need to take advantage of the combo while we can...hopefully it happens.

last year the highlights of camp were the defense constantly getting beat for long passes, the defense seems to be doing a good job of keeping the highlight real dull

Thanks. I hadn't thought of that, but now that you mention it, I do remember a lot of home run connections last year with outclassed DB's trailing. But it may also be partly due to their working more on the short and intermediate games. Also, whatever you want to say about SM, he definitely had a cannon.

i love how all these reporters say how juwon young is struggling with the playbook and looking like a freshman yet he's in almost every camp report making plays and looked great in the spring game. easily made more plays that game than pretty much anyone else on defense
