The odd thing was that he turned back to view the play in the outfield before he retouched 3rd base. He stopped at 3rd. He didn't run past 3rd and then retouch. Really odd.

Sometimes it's harder w a big lead. As a pitcher, you start aiming the ball instead of letting it loose.
