Not a very impressive outing for chestnutt. Def concerned with some of the pitching I've seen so far

How could Jones be worse than Scanlon and Long worse than Gomez?

I saw Jones about 5x in the pre-season. He had a better pop time than Scanlon, was more accurate, and sure as **** a better hitter. I don’t understand Gino’s fascination with Scanlon.

Get used to that outing as the norm with Chestnutt. With his delivery you will likely never see multiple starts in a row where he just fills it up. But at times he will prob dominate for a few innings then all of the sudden lose it. He’s just gotta learn to be consistently wild.

I think he can def fill this mid week roll or as a long relief type. But I don’t think I’d put him into many tough positions I’d in relief.

You seem to have found your key bullpen lefty in Scinta. That might free up Rafe to be the midweek starter going forward. He was more impressive than Chestnutt in the role preseason.
