They play a stronger non-conference schedule. The system seems skewed to NC as the mid major teams don't lose much RPI in their conference games, but make huge strides by loading up on top teams in the midweek games.

I've seen a bunch of Oregon State games. I don't know how good they really are as the PAC-12 looks weak and Oregon State's getting a lot of RPI by playing Gonzaga and Grand Canyon State. Good teams rated very high in the RPI.

Oregon State will get to Omaha because they'll have an easy region. If they had to play away from home, I don't think they'd get there.
