I am not sold on the strategy for this game. We have not run consistently despite being effective running the ball. The soft 8? coverage we were playing the first two drives was just dumb defensive play calling. Same thing like last year at MD. Coach D can't coach scared. Get up there and make those wr's feel our dbs.

Where is telemaque and rodgers??????? WTF!

Terrible strategy by Golden and Fisch there. You have to go for it there. Considering how BC is pushing the ball downfield, you play the numbers.

No way.

Ball was inside the 40. You play the numbers there. The net of that punt was 20 anyway. You'll say it's "hindsight" but what are the chances we get a perfect punt inside the 10? What are the chances we convert a 4th and mid? What are the risks of missing the conversion? They still need a string of plays to get the ball to the other 25-30. What are the benefits of converting and potentially scoring?

Poor in-game strategy there. Al may speak perfectly sometimes, but I'm yet to see him mastermind in-game. Just being fair.

No way Lu.

UM has the lead with the ball back in the 3rd quarter. Boston has not stop UM's offense all day. Take the lead into the half and come out and score again. No way you gamble with the lead

Inside the 39. The risk is highly mitigated. The reward changes the entire game. BC would still need a string of plays there. Look at the end result: the net of that punt was like less than 20 yards.

Doesnt matter. They get 20 yards and they are getting to field goal range with time to spare. Send them deep and take the lead into the half. If our D had been playing better, then I am with you. However, Rettig is tearing us apart.

I think BC has more yards in the first half than they averaged all last season for a complete game.

Yeah, I'm not buying that either, Lu. Even if it's a net 16 yard gain from a punt in the EZ, if we don't convert, we're putting BC on the 35ish with a full minute and a timeout. Cannot fault Golden for making that call, especially considering how many mid-range passes we have dropped.

This game isn't being decided by who scores next. Someone is going to have to make a move. Golden chose the conservative route there. I would have taken the bigger swing and set the tone for the game.

all we have at DE is AC. Next to him we've got two converted LB's and freshmen...we need something from the DT's for this Dline to not be an embarrassment.

Our Defense is a mess. pass rush and secondary needs tons of work. Very impressed with Morris, WR need to step it up

Need to see more Mike James and Duke. Less passing. Fisch is basically running the spread. With our OL we should be running the ball and pounding this team into the dirt.

The risk is only slightly mitigated. How likely is it that BC does NOT march right the **** down the field for a FG at least?

I'm for aggression. I love going for it. I think we could have converted. But if I'm Golden, maybe I just want to get the **** out of this half. We're lucky to be up 1. Settle the troops down. March right the **** down the field for an early 7 in the 3rd.

Who are these folks? Carter or Burns?

agree, would like to see coach d just get aggressive with the defense. probably too late for this game as bc has alot of confidence now.
