I'm hearing the whole staff is gonna be let go, so step right up and let's hear your dream hires for all roles. Caveat Emptor: Mentioning Lovelady might get you chased by a mob holding torches and pitchforks.

It might be a weird fit and he won’t be an option but I’d love Deggs from Louisiana. His style would work in South Florida. But his cultural style would be strange.

Kingston at South Carolina was a Miami assistant. I would assume he is a no since he’s at a SEC power now but just throwing it out there

Still team hire the most qualified coach that will accept the job after a full national search

Target #1 for me: Chris Pollard at Duke

Before he arrived at Duke in 2013, they had not made the NCAA postseason in 50+ years. Since 2013, they’ve made 5 regional appearances and 3 super regional appearances (including this weekend).

He comes from a pitching coach background, and Duke is currently #9 nationally in ERA. Miami finished #68 this year.

He also looks to be in his late 40s, so still on the upside of his career
