i still can't believe we actually promoted JD...i refuse to acknowledge it for some reason because how ridiculously horrible that decision was. it's probably the worst personnel move we've made from a head coaching hire perspective in the history of the entire athletics department.

I was as disappointed as anybody with JD getting the HC job, but, I have to say, this is a much better staff.

Cooper/Fenster/Gutierrez are all improvements over what we’ve had. Probably significantly. Can JD step up as HC? I’m not sure. But he has some really good coaches helping him.

I’m hoping we get a rejuvenated JD in his new role. Hoping. I’ve never been a fan of his as a pitching coach. However, I like this staff and if he embraces NIL? Maybe we get somewhere.

They have a hitter named Steele I believe that was decent.

I will say if you’re a first time head coach there are worse ideas than surrounding yourself with three guys that have either college or minor league managing experience
