Can we be honest about the talent in FL

How many South Florida guys are five-year redshirts? They play early because they're ready. Tyson Campbell walked right into Georgia and started Day 1 over your "well-coached" Southern kids. Pat Surtain did the same thing at Alabama. It happens everywhere, every year.

I base this on our youth football teams dominating. From 2009-2013, a different South Florida youth team won the Pop Warner Super Bowl every year. That's five different parks in five years. Those are the kids we're recruiting now.

South Florida doesn't have more "raw talent." Texas kids do better in track, and every region has bigger players. The South Florida kids are just more ready to compete because they are mentally tougher. They have played better competition for a longer time.

I mean Deandre Baker, Tyson, Divaad Wilson basically walk up there and tell kids to gtf out of my locker.

That Chick said kids come to Bama b/c they play the best players, unlike Richt. I mean I’m not sure if she’s a So Fla Bama groupie, but she gotta point. Saban ain’t stopping playing kids b/c they r freshmen.
Man, **** that *****. :nba-chris-bosh-upset:
Also, I'd **** that *****. :2h3mpi1:

This is pretty much it. I coach youth and even the ones with die hard mom n pop Cane fans for parents, you talk to them about UM and the first thing they say is "they garbage".

There are a lot of other issues at play here, but just the general consensus of Miami by the local kids is that they are garbage. They aren't exciting. They are simply put...boring.

It makes it tough to even sell "putting on for your city" by the school itself and by the recruits that try and rally their buddies to come play with them, when in the middle of the season we've got wet farts like UVA and BC.

Any time Miami comes up, my kids clown them. Same statements...
"Aww they trash!"

That’s expected, we ain’t been sh*t or relevant until 2017 season in over a decade, so that’s not saying much.

So what's the answer? we can all see the problem. The team played in a NY6 bowl last year and kids still left. UM doesn't get a hometown discount in South FLA point blank period. If we say its coaching we don't have the money to hire a Nick Saban/Urban Meyer and staff. Look at Texas from 2015-2017 their record was 5-7, 7-6, and 6-3 this year and kids still want to to stay home and play in Texas. Look at Keondre Coburn. Tom Herman had success 1 year at Houston.

And I must say, they have mighty fine strip clubs. Lol

I love the "Low Country", which is Savannah up to Charleston. I do not include Savannah as part of Georgia because it is 5.5 hours from Atlanta. Remove Tybe and Hilton Head, and the "Low Country" could be the best part of this country.

Why do we need Saban to win the coastal and compete for the ACC title every year?

We played in an NY6 bowl but we got embarrassed. We lost the last 3 games of the season. Then we opened up 2018 by getting molly-whopped by LSU.

The only answer is to start winning consistently and show people that we've changed. As of right now, even if we win a big game or two, people know that we're going to drop a couple that we're not supposed to.

So in a realistic scenario who would you have as coach?

In the past that has been true. Im talking about if it will continue going forward. In the 2018 draft florida had 36 picks while TX/CA had 27 and 28. There wasnt a florida kid picked in the tolp half of the first round and florida had abt 7 kids picked in the 7th round.
Texas kids always go number 1 and get the Heisman Trophy.

I don't mind Richt as the CEO but the whole offensive staff can haul ***. (minus Dugans)

This. Richt would be perfect for this school for a few more years if he took on the true CEO role on this team. Let someone else - autonomously - control the offense and get rid of a bunch of slackers on the offensive staff,.
