Camp Report (Vid) - 4/4/13

Its a bad thing if Crow beats out Williams? I would think that would be a great thing.

Arm strength looks great. Lack of game experience just scares the **** out of me. Hopefully Morris stays healthy. Thank god for FAU and Savannah State, right?

Don't get me wrong, I'm just thinking long term here. If either backup plays much this year we are probably in big trouble. But Crow right now battling, maybe beating out a solid experienced veteran sounds really good for the future, since we have a giant ? at the spot next year.

op tryin' to go from red to white to green right quick huh?

If you're talking about rep, I couldn't care less about that ****. This Is a **** message board, I have real life problems to worry about.

#13 (Crow) is really ripping that **** down the line. That throw down the middle for a TD is a 50/50 ball though. One weekend he'll be a 1st rounder, the next week its a pick and he's the white Japicky Harris.

All he has to be is a great backup QB with some potential to throw the ball downfield if he ever gets a start. I was a fan of him in HS because of his release. He has lead in his feet, though.

Footwork seems to be improving.

His footwork seemed to be pretty good in the two clips he was in (yes, I know...it IS beyond limited). That being said, I remember him running in one of the summer scrimmages and he looked like he was dragging a god**** piano down the field.

I think he becomes the defacto back-up if Morris gets hurt. I think it'll be like the Spencer Whipple/Harris injury at UVA a couple of years ago. I just don't think Williams can get it done physically over a long stretch in ONE game; much less a stretch of games. If Morris goes down, Crow goes in (if he proves he can pass the ball down field well enough through the summer) and the offense at least can keep people honest.

I honestly thought last year that Williams could eventually be a starter here, but that is unfortunately not the case.
