Dallas Crawford on Gus "."That's a freakish athlete right there. How big he is, as fast as he is, it's crazy. The upside is crazy for Gus. He looks good right now."

Those ****tards at the Herald actually do more harm than good. Can't wait for them ALL to get ****canned (and yes, I know they read us so, **** YOU if you work for that on-its-last-breath dinosaur)

Luther Robinson on the condition test: Last year after the test "Everyone was on the ground, falling on the ground."

This year?

"Everyone was walking around, nobody throwing up - that was the first time I saw that happen," Robinson said.

Holy ****. If they play like they work-out, this should be fun.

Porter :He's benching 405 pounds, squatted 535 and had a 320-pound power clean.

"It's a big difference - I feel more explosive, stronger, just quicker," he said.

(What happened last season) is not what you usually see at the University of Miami," he said. "We're known for having a good D line and just putting up good numbers."

From what I've heard (someone close to the situation) Dewey is looking to get back closer to home, seriously considering transferring to Abilene Christian University.

Only a matter of time for His Royal Highness Ceasar Augustus.

Was it an appendectomy that kept him out so long last year? Gotta have strong abs to put up those numbers.
C'mon Porter, it's your contract year.

This stuck out to me from the report

* Two large defensive linemen watched practice in street clothes. A UM source confirmed one was JUCO transfer Ufomba Kamalu, who is awaiting clearance from UM admissions. The other is Virginia transfer Justin Renfrow, who is also waiting to be cleared. Wisconsin DL David Gilbert and JUCO DE Julio Derosier also hope to join the roster soon. “There are a number that are coming,” Golden said, but he wouldn’t elaborate.

The other mystery lineman watching #Canes practice today was former Virginia DT Justin Renfrow, a UM source confirms. Not Gilbert.
Well would you look at that...

OK for a foreigner to be at practice as long as they hit him with the neuralizer before he leaves, and no phone while on the field please...and Degnan too.

Huh? The Herald reported he's transferring to Miami, so hardly a "foreigner" anymore.

Raphael Kirby:played at "215, 220" pounds last season and says "I'm 236 right now. And I can tell the difference. I feel more sturdy, more mobile."

entire defense putting on a lot of size and strength this off-season, Kirby said, "It's going to be a great help. We can push guys back, control that line of scrimmage. The guys up front are big now, the linebackers are huge. We can knock guys back, stop those rushing yards. ... We're bigger now, are looking forward to moving on to greater things."

e wasn't confident about last year was based on "the speed of the game." He adds "this year is going to be much easier."
