Man, and I say this as someone that is ecstatic about our future as long as sanctions arent devastating, some of you are in for a tough tough season.

I don't think first games are all that indicative unless you are say michigan v. alabama. Now that is a game that could carry major implications. We are playing for nothing anyway according to most we will self impose yet again this season unless we a bcs game which isn't' happening. I just think we need to let it play out, give the young guys all they can handle, push the vets, and watch dp and chick try and become leaders.

They only averaged 3.1 yards a carry on us, vs our average of 7.6

Miller had 114 yards on 12 carries, but that was it....12 carries. We abandoned the run

One of Harris' picks went back for a touchdown.

Their QB was very efficient against us - 13 of 17, 196 with 2 tds and 0 picks. But he is a ****** and that might have been the worst secondary in Miami history.

As someone who is very hopeful for this upcoming season, if they can't win this one, then it'll be looooonng season and maybe SI knows something we dont

Mix up the coverages in the secondary (that is the ONLY reason to keep VT and McGee on the field over getting younger), tackle well, and get the playmakers the ball - WR, Duke, OL Run Blocking - win T/O and special teams

Who will the game-breakers be on D?? DP, Chick, players we need to play big - Rogers, Paul, Frosh DT (DI or EM), Frosh CB (TH or AC/LH), DE Frosh (JH or JB) - Rush End (Dare I say Cain here or ?) Yes a work in progress that starts up front - is this a strong team up the middle? Smith, Chick, DP
Offensive play-makers - Duke and ML special teams along with RJenkins, Dorsett, Herb/DC in the Slot, Duke and MJ and 6 OL - WR need to make plays week in and out to keep a spot

I'm glad you guys are this confident. I don't know what they have but I do know what we have and it's not good until proven otherwise. That whole post-camp grade post just illustrated how we essentially have only a couple of returning players that could be labeled as good, and practically no returning players that would be labeled as really good by people outside of Miami.

only if shannon was still here, we'd be in much better shape.

It took 4 interceptions - one of them going back for a touchdown - for them to beat us by A TOUCHDOWN.

We can't lose this game.

i'll go on and say it now, if we lose to BC, Golden will be a failure

Its early to say this but I kind of agree in a way. We may not be back but were still leaps and bounds more talented than BC. We should stomp them out after 2 years of being under Goldens program.

the excuses stop. with maryland, we still should have beat those scrubs even with all the suspensions, but i'll give him that. this time, there won't be suspensions and we'll have a veteran QB. he'd better win.

I want to see a win like everyone. But i want to see a rhythm, a sense of identity and execution. Not a nice play, then false start. Nice three plays to get us a first down, and then calls that get us on 3rd and long and we are out. I recall seeing Wisky last year in their first game and thinking to myself, that is exactly what the '01 team looked like. I am not seeing i want to see the '01 team. What I'm saying is that you can execute and have a rhythm without being the '01 team.

I agree we should win this year, but last year in addition to J12 being an INT machine we got pushed around all night.

Outside of Harris stomping on his own **** to the tune of 4 int's, we should have beat them.

It was one giant regression. I still can't shake that game from my senses. It was like everything we had worked on and improved on all season was tossed out the window because the season was essentially over. Fortunately some of the worst offenders from the game (actually most) are gone.

I don't see how we don't out tough and out talent them. No way this should be close by the middle of the 3rd. BC is garbage.

No idea how we'll do. The closer we get, the less confident I am. We think they stink, but we don't know their team. It's a great measuring stick for us. The one thing we know is that even if they don't have a ton of talent, they will be tough and physical. We also know that this will be a huge game for them emotionally, home opener, Miami, National TV. If we don't bring a physical style of play, we won't win this game. They are going to smack us in the mouth and hope we quit like all the teams have since 2005.
