Just to be clear is the expectation of an announcement really based on some random 247 reporter saying our QB targets were on campus + a vague timeline of 4-5 days from Cribby? I don’t think our legit insiders are sharing much, so seems like a lot of wish casting. Once again I’m having a hard time figuring out how we got here on these expectations lol

I said the staff would like to have it done in 4-5 days if possible, and if that happened everyone would be happy. They didn’t want this to drag out. That was on Wednesday so that would make it Sunday or Monday if everything goes well.

I was also told Ward and Howard were easily the top two guys and Miami would take the first one to commit. But Ward was the preference. I’ll just say there’s a connection between Dawson and Mario with him.

Yes i was vague and that was for a reason. Because I know how much this stuff can change. The last I heard Ward was still who the focus was on.

Lol I've seen my fair share of wtf moments during my 15+ years of playing and coaching. This has almost become normal. A ton of guys.. But I've seen some locker rooms where guys joke around like this . And it's all guys. Matter fact I don't recall ever playing with someone who was openly ***. It wouldn't bother me anyhow. I'm secure in who I am lol.

I know you have to be discreet and we have our targets. My commentary was more how, yet again, the board went 0-100 and put this on a Sunday night countdown clock. I imagine that this will either happen under wraps with no one expecting it or it won’t happen at all

He needs to learn how to be succinct.

Instead he goes on and on about it sounds like:

“I don’t mean to hedge and I am but I’m not and that’s not my intention because hedging can be frustrating but I don’t like to be frustrated just like recruiting it can be frustrating. It could happen tonight or tomorrow and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened any day after that but again I don’t want to hedge. There’s a lot to this that I know but there’s also a lot I don’t know. Like Samuel L Jackson said, “there’s known knowns.
