Just spitballing here, but hear me out . . . If Mario really believes that his future success is tied to one QB and that one QB is Cam Ward and if its true (as this article states) that Cam's going rate is $2 million, I'm taking $2 million of my $8 million 2024 salary and deferring it to the Canes Connection NIL Group so they can pay that boy his price. I don't often like to spend other people's money but, when you get to the rarefied air that Mario is at, is there a real difference in getting paid $24 million versus $22 million over three years when your legacy is on the line?
Yes, there is. $2 mil is $2 mil

Or they flew and met him earlier in the week. I don't have a 247 account so if the article says they flew to see him Thursday or Friday then that is different but in the portion that you can view without a subscription it never mentions when they did it. **** it could have been before Monday since Dawson supposedly fllew to see Howard before the portal opened no reason he or any other coach couldn't have done the same with Ward.
Without getting into this dialog too tough I'll just say cam didn't JUST come on our radar.

As long as the NIL is in the same range, I have to think any sane QB would want to play for Miami. TVD could eat a 7 course meal and still not get pressured. That's why his picks are so egregious and the interceptions thrown by some of these QBs we're looking at are more explainable/forgivable.
You also think, as long as the NIL is in the same range, that Florida’s lack of state income tax could be beneficial.

At Miami, you have a solid offensive line and running game to support you. Solid, but not spectacular skill players. Newcomers could change that as well.

EDIT: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming do not levy state income taxes, while New Hampshire doesn’t tax earned wages.
