Not making up anything. I'm looking at it objectively. We don't have a reasonable option at QB for next year. As opposed to having a more thorough search, you basically put your eggs in two baskets (based on only two of them showing up on-campus). The result is, one is on his way to USC, and the other is going to slow play this and hold out for the perfect situation and big dollars. Cam is a good player, but Miami is going to have to overpay for his actual value because they have no choice but to. They're desperate. That's the reality of this UNLESS there is some secret third option (which I hope there is).

I think the point is that you literally know nothing about the situation. No exaggeration, you know nothing. Your posts consist of speculation based on what you see on social media.

I'm going by what the kid's father said. For the record, I never believed the Howard was waiting to commit narrative. That made no sense. All I'm saying is, until there is announcement, this is a very precarious position for the staff to be in. A deal is not a deal until it's a deal.

For now, Ward is keeping his options open. His third collegiate recruitment is somehow even crazier than the last one. This time, the zero-star recruit has his pick of five-star destinations.

These ppl can’t be stopped bro. It’s unreal. Dude took 2 visits and gave some relatively generic quotes and the CIS shrinks are on the case and know exactly what everyone is thinking and doing 😂 😂
 
If Howard is indeed signing with USC then Ward is also running out of major-program landing spots besides us and FSU.

Oregon already signed Gabriel, Washington is taking Rogers, and it’s not clear that OSU is even going to splurge on a portal QB.
Auburn appears to be riding with Payton Thorne w, and…..that’s about it.
Anyone else shopping isn’t offering the combo of OL/returning talent, schematic match, AND NIL cash.

I don't believe Mario would have wanted either athlete to lose leverage after showing interest in Miami.

They know they got Miami by the b*lls and they are desperate. Coming off of 7-5, coach is being questioned by some of the fanbase, no real proven NFL QB that has been developed by Dawson. Wouldn't you wait it out to see if someone can match the offer to drive up your value? He knows Miami has no other major choice.
