I think it's two things for them. (1) They have a good enough option at QB, and (2) they've got other NIL needs to fill. If they whiff on a QB in the portal and their current QB transfers, they are mega fu**ed. One of their insiders said they weren't gonna offer a mil for a QB. That alone takes them out of the conversation.
