Why do you say that? KB has been recruiting at a high level and all our WRs improved significantly in terms of routes and blocking. Seems really good to me.

But good usually ends up as. “ Why is our OC not getting the ball to Jojo” vs a OSU UGA or whoever is elite that season. Then people like me say talent and then others say no we have the talent, because they saw Jojo go ham vs Wake Forest UNC FSU etc. different levels of comp. Cam can do that vs anyone he can make Horton a good player and make a wr group catch bs anyone. We do not have that this season at qb imo.

I don’t know man. Did somebody hack your account? Why can’t he potentially be elite and also not play much his FR year? Justin Jefferson had 0 catches FR year and 54 SO year. Is he/was he not elite? I think your argument here is wild. Jojo also had nagging injuries IIRC.

It likely doesn’t matter but he also seems to be close with the whole team - he’s always sharing everyone on the teams **** on IG

Our wrs have improved cause there was Cam Ward there thats why and the OL improving. Did George improve our keep making bad penalties? He needs to recruit better IMO and I am not the only one that thinks this on this site. Restrepo I know they will point to but kid was a dog day 1 here even with Manny's goofy ***.

I think Jojo is good I just dont think he's elite thats all, nothing wrong with that. He can be a good wr for sure, I just want the wrs that I know will dog walk and OSU DB room. When we go up against teams like that I want our players to have the talent advantage vs teams like that. I dont want them to be shocked that the guy they look at across from them is scarier then they are. Thats all

Okay, but Mario hired Beard in March of 2023. So he's had 2 recruiting cycles during which time he landed Jojo, Carr and Robinson, the #10, 16 and 27 WRs in the 2024 class, and Moore, Toney and Upshaw, the #13, 61 and 63 WR in the 2025 class. Along with helping pick up Brown and Daniels.

I entirely agree that this last class was surprising Moore was our only blue chipper. If that happens again, I'm with you. I suspect we're going to be very happy with this WR class however.

You are being oblivious to beard’s impact. He’s recruited very well(trader ny Carr both top 50 talents plus chance robinson and then followed that up with Josh Moore, Toney and upshaw) and let’s not forget restrepo and George already had great years before cam ward even got to Miami. And we have seen drastic improvement in that room since he’s been here. Does Horton performance in 2024 also ring a bell?

Yea it’s better than it used to be but it needs another step. I have to see how they look on the field if we found anything great the past two cycles. The jury is still out but I can agree with this post above.

Horton benefitted from Cam the others you are spot on about. We have to see Trader Carr and Chance(who I wasn’t high on ever). I did like Carr a lot. Moore Toney and Upshaw we need to see as well on the field in a live game.

I think Horton took a big step last year and should do very well at Bama catching for Simpson, Mack or Russell. I thought we should have paid up to keep him, honestly. I'm bummed that at least one of Horton and Brown didn't come back.

I think we'll be just fine at WR with Daniels, Jojo, Carr, Ray Ray and the freshmen. But I think we need another proven guy, IMO a playoff caliber WR from the portal, to finalize our offense. Even if everyone steps up and plays to their potential, which isn't likely based on history, we're still too thin. If just one of our starters gets injured, we're going to panic.

I was cool with Horton leaving if the replacement is CJ which I think is an absolute upgrade. I agree we need another but it depends who goes into the portal. If it’s a jag then pass, if it’s a big upgrade than yes. If they are just looking for depth and are set with the lineup then we will know by who they take.

I agree that Beard has done a good job with the material he has had to work with thus far. However he will have to up his recruiting game if we want to start landing kids like Calvin Russell, Tristen Keys and the kid from LA who is committed to O$U.

I didn’t compare anything but numbers and what I said was 100% true.

Obviously Andre Johnson is a hall of famer. An all time great but George caught more passes and had more yards than he did in 2001.
