Cam & Shadeur

Early draft analysis - for what it’s worth - suggests 4-5 guys from last draft rate higher than Cam or Sanders. So, no, neither are close to generational or can’t miss.

Generational is best designated after a career or deep into a career. Mahomes is obviously generational. J. Allen and L. Jackson are close, if not there. Brady, Montana, Elway . . . Manning are a few other recent examples.
This makes no sense.

Once in a generation or generational typically means once every 20-30 yrs.

Regardless of the casual takes on him, Travis Hunter is considered generational b/c we haven’t seen a high level two way player at the CFB level since Charles Woodson, which was 27 yrs ago.

Neither Cam nor Shadeur r generational talents. They r great talents, talents any GM of a football team should take (w/ Ward being the better of the two b/c of his demeanor + leadership abilities). However, some guy named Pat Mahomes is currently in the NFL (although I hate KC). LJ is a generational talent b/c we hadn’t seen that level of athleticism at the QB position since Vick (20 yrs prior to LJ getting drafted).

The term is over blown in hot takes, but in its purest form, only Travis meet the definition of generational (although I just saw buddy next to Ant Edwards, & Ant looked like the football prospect, not Hunter).

If Cam gets the correct coaching and system he could be really really good. Get stuck with a bad coach and o coord? Career can falter. And make no mistake Cam needs good coaching, they all do. The NFL is a completely different animal with the defense, there are a few things Cam is going to have to get rid of or improve if he wants success in the NFL. All the tools are there no question and he's def ahead of the game because of his talent. That is why he will be a top pick in the draft. He should be the number 1 QB taken

Former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders said Saturday he is unsure if he will throw at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis next month.

Sanders is attending the East-West Shrine Bowl but will not participate in practice or in the game Thursday. He was at the West team's first practice at the University of North Texas on Saturday morning but stood on the field, watching the other prospects.
