Cam is the best player Miami had in close to 20 years……but

We lost because of poor coaching. Cam played excellent today. He didn't do the superman thing and the crazy thing is as much as we complained we prob had a better shot winning that way instead of trusting Guidry to put Mesidor amd other des in coverage consistently

It’ll be shocking going back to watching the canes without him. I don’t think we’re ready for that reality.

Heartbreaking. Which I guess Miami has broken my heart more than anything else but they keep inventing new ways. I wasn’t prepared for this one

The offensive production we are losing is crazy. Not sure we can afford to trust Guidry to get it right. However he's been good one year and terrible another so not sure what we will do
 
OP is somewhat correct. He holds on to the ball forever and has the convenience of that with our offensive line. Makes hero plays.

But.....He does leave plays on the field half decent qb's will see and make.

He, after this game might make the first round as a draft pick. Not sure if he's going to be a great draft in the NFL as a game will be a lot faster.

He's not really a runner and he's going to have to be a passer and won't be able to evade coverage (sacks) as fast in the NFL.

I’m sure I’m nitpicking because Miami probably wins 5-6 games this year without him, but it’s something I noticed all season.

He can be Ron Zook if we somehow bamboozle the SEC or B10 into taking us. In the ACC, his utility is zero. But you’re probably right.

I’m not arguing the merits of anyone’s opinions of his acumen. I’m denying the premise all together because it’s not a realistic premise
 
Cam isn’t the reason Miami lost today. Yes he was one of the reasons they lost to Ga Tech but yea if Miami doesn’t have him they win 4-5 games and Mario is done.
 
Cam Ward is no cane. Coral Gables was just a stop over. He’s not the best QB Miami has ever had. He didn’t win the big one.
 
I feel like due to miami lack of recent success, we don’t know what an above average qb looks like. Cam is good but certain schools have witnessed this for 5-8 years. Our best is yet to come.
