Cam Harris returns for senior year

Great news. RB is a position where you need depth and most teams carry 5-6 at that spot.

Chaney Harris Knighton should be as good of a trio as we've had in awhile in 2021. I'm sure Thad will get his chances too.

There are definitely some players we'd be better off if they moved on (Pope, Wiggins), but Harris is not one of them

Rbs always fight injuries too. I agree. He’s way better than Wiggins and Pope. Gaynor could leave as far as I’m concerned too

Off topic, but does any one know if the new transfer rule has a time limit?

For example, to be able to play, do you need to transfer before fall practice? Or can you transfer during the season or right before game 1?

This only guarantees at least 1 of Chaney,Knighton or Franklin will be ****ed with lack of snaps.Hope they're patient and stick around.
That's okay. If you want to play, work and grind for that playing time. If you get all of that high level talent working practicing as hard as possible, we'll reap the rewards during games. Only good things can come from that.

If he can summon the best of Cam Harris and use the offseason to really refine his game as a blocker and really put in more effort running routes and catching the football, he could have a big season. I happen to like him as a player and I would like to see the best of Cam Harris for a full season. He'll have some real competition for touches next year though. Chaney has really emerged as a lead back late in the year. Knighton will be back and Franklin will be here and eager for carries. Love the competition among that position group. If OL continues to improve and we get more of a push in the run game, could be a big year for the group as a whole.

Whatever your opinion of the player is, its nice to see us returning our upperclassmen for their senior year instead of settling for 5th, 6th, 7th, UDFA type contract.

This is what I call a free scholarship player next year. Could be extremely valuable.

I know most wanted him to go pro but I honestly love that he is coming back. Only helps the RB group. Hopefully it’s a sign that more guys are opting to stay for another year.
I thought Cam was talented enough to go to the NFL but I was wrong. That being said, I’ll take him back.

June 1, unless they change it when it passes.

So a player couldn't transfer over the summer/fall camp and play that season

At the very least, this means Chaney and Knighton have to earn more playing time as opposed to being given it.

it’s good for building that competitive mentality
He should have to earn the starting job too. Nobody should be given anything.

how anyone is disappointed he's staying is beyond me.
if thad was concerned, he could have easily waited to sign in feb. problem solved.
has nothing to do with king's prognosis. he hasn't been operated on so how would they know a prognosis? I fully expect the kid to be ready by sept.
nesta? who is awaiting his decision? he has a decision to actually make?

we have some dumb *** fans.

I feel like the time limits will be based on school enrollments. In theory, you’ll be eligible as soon as you transfer, regardless of timing. Kids can’t enroll after the add/drop dates at whichever schools, though.

Great news, guys making smart choices and in turn allowing the team to have some experienced depth. Nothing but a positive.

Maybe kids are realizing that staying, GETTING THAT DEGREE, and building additional film is better than being out on the streets because you were cut in training camp. I wonder if Bandy wishes he would have stayed.
