Calvin Ridley??

lol if you feel personally trolled by a teenager deciding where he goes to college. get a grip.

anyway, i honestly don't think it's worth it to try and rationalize why kids go to alabama. the school is a total machine in recruiting. i know that is obvious but calvin ridley going to bama has nothing to do with something weird about calvin ridley or miami. in the 2015 class bama currently has commits from a top 5 player in cali and tennesse, the top player in jersey and dc, a top 10 player in texas, louisiana, missouri.

in the 2014 class they had the top player from louisiana, virginia, south carolina, iowa, oklahoma, arkansas and top 5 players from texas, louisiana, california, minnesota, ohio, mississippi, georgia and colorado.

every school in the country has an alabama problem.

At this point. Don't know what's going on with Calvin. Just gonna wait till signing day cause a lot doesn't make sense.
 
Could be a T. Howard & S. Coley type situation or it could be a D. Cook type of situation. We'll find out either way once the ink dries on NSD.

He isn't playing alot at Miami next year if he signed.

Waters-Sr.
Lewis-Jr.
Berrios-So.
Njoku-So.
Brady-So.
Langham-RS Fr.
These guys above should be in excellent condition by then. Been in a college weight room for multiple years, played alot of snaps. I read where one scout in Florida thinks Ridley could be a better CB than WR in college.

Not to mention Gray could slide out too to WR, if we sign 3 RB's.

Let me get this straight. Ridley was named the overall MVP at The Opening, has elite tape, and every top program in the country is pursuing him. His measurables are comparable to Stacy Coley's, who played a ton as a true freshman just last year and is the only receiver on that list with comparable raw physical ability.

But Ridley wouldn't play much as a true freshman at Miami because he's only 6'0, 169 pounds? No. Coley was listed between 173-175 pounds coming out of high school and we all saw the immediate impact he had. The way Ridley dominated the competition at The Opening mattered far, far more than any official measurables or athletic tests.

There are good players on that list, but Coley- and Ridley-type talents are clearly on another level. He would play significant snaps right away here.

Funny thing about Ridleys height and weight.

Cause some guy on here was swearing he watches Ridley and SBB work out everyday and was saying that Calvin was almost 200 pounds and was 6'2. And that SBB was over 200 already.

And I remember arguing with the **** guy saying at the most Ridley is 180 and in the 6'0"-6'1" range. Ahh, I love it. Unless he lost 30 pounds right before the opening, I doubted it he was ever 200.

Ridley is about 6'1" range, Stacy Coley height, same weight in high school too, about 170-180 range. Very identical games too, would say Coley a hair faster but Ridley a hair more aggressive.

SBB about 6'0". 190 range.

But make no mistake. Ridley would play early here. He is that good. I know, the guys we have yeah. But Ridley would play early here and anywhere. Were talking about he probably will be 20 years old by the time hes a college freshman next year.

Looking at that list only Coley is better then Ridley. Most people thought we were stacked last year and Coley ended up starting. if Ridley comes here he'll have the same impact as Coley

Coley is the only one that has a spot locked down. The other guys haven't proven they are starters yet. I don't care how much potential they have, they haven't done anything yet. So yeah, hopefully they prove themselves this year, but don't act like Ridley wouldn't play. Immediately I would say he is better than Njoku, Langham, and maybe Brady. Also, Kidd needs to get his scholly taken next year, because he won't play at all.

This. Would it be great to get a kid this talented? Of course. But I'm not going to sit here and cry about some dude who is clearly playing the game and has been for some time, not having interest in us. We've done our part, I believe.

I heard the team to watch if he flips from Bama is FSU they are pressing on him but as of now he's sticking with Bama with come down to visits and if Jimbo can win over the family.

Also he really wants to play with SBB so that'll be a factor

So you post this morning that the Noles are getting 5* Campbell and stand best chance of flipping 5* Ridley when they have Phillips near locked down along with Rudolph & Lane last year?

Man this is a Tuesday morning spread out the ****** news.

Nothing is definite but they are pushing for those players and just wanted to pass the info

I'm not discounting that it happens but these "package deals" seem a bit overrated as an occurance. I don't count Collins and Kirkland as that because I don't think Collins was ever coming here and they weren't exactly billed as a 2-4-1 deal throughout recruiting anyway. Are there any other recent high profile "couples" that I'm not remembering?

I got to ask this, do the wrs really even know who the guy will be next year? Im asking because I don't see Winston coming back and none of the qbs they have committed now are going to start next year so when will the kids see that?
