Looks like Mom wanted him at Miami but the bags were to strong. This is happening a lot right now to players that we are recruiting in 2019. Winning solves a lot these problems. One can only imagine how Calvins career would have been if he came here.

Stop it with the “we have to win” nonsense. We are winning and on an extreme upswing. And guess what? Guys are still be targeted by the bag schools and being bought. That’s just the nature of the game now.

Their strategy is to target the top guys down here every year, and they make them offers that most aren’t willing to refuse. Sabag started it, and people are now copying his model.

Someone should start a thread of the roster of players who wanted/could’ve potentially committed Miami, would be the best in CFB today

Yeah I never said "we have to win". I said a lot of problems are solved by winning. Of course teams are going to follow Sabans lead and drop bags to the best players. Miami doesn't drop bags like the $EC schools. But having a winning program can only help in the efforts to land recruits. Which is happening now and why I think Richt will get a lot of recruits he is after.

Dawg these kids are football players not modern day prostitutues, we know the bag game is real but if the bag game was the end all be all, how come we don’t see a collective spread of elite recruits throughout every school that offers bags? Why do we constantly see the same 3 or 4 schools grabbing all the 5* recruits, why don’t we see more bidding wars & kids committing to schools that if bags weren’t involved would make no sense to commit to? That’s cause bags are sweeteners, at the end of the day, these kids want National Coverage, winning championships and to be drafted high. Bama and Clemson are constantly getting 5* recruits based on pure resume alone, Saban has gotten these kids to see him as a god, who can put anyone in the league, throw in the fact that he will also pay $100,000 for you and only then does it become a no brainer. Bags fckin sweeteners

It’s so **** obvious. They get them up there for one visit and have their boosters meet with the kids and suddenly the kids are up there every other weekend.
