Calvin Heurtelou 30 reps x 225

The season takes alot from your strength. You pretty much have to rebuild to get back to your peek. Linder is probably able to do plus 40 right about now.

What did Linder do last year? I thought his numbers were higher. I like this guy, at the spring game when he and OP were in the game the lb were making plays in the offensive backfield. Any other time the rb were 5 yards in the defensive backfield.

I could be wrong but I believe both Linder and King were close to 40 and Porter around 35.

(I think)

Linder supposedly did 40 reps while he was here but then got to the combine and did low 30's.

(if I remember correctly)

That and you can't bounce it off your chest at the combine.

Here is a Olinemen Heurtelou could face if UM makes it to the college football playoffs in the next 2 yrs, keep in mind this kid just signed with Auburn as part of their 2014 class. He is doing 515lbs for 3 reps as a high schooler last fall. UM needs to land a few more linemen like both of these guys.

Doesn't mean ****! Cory King probably benches way more than Waren Sapp ever could....

I will say the body fat percentage on that kid is pretty impressive being that he is 6'5 285. Reminds a bit of Mathews taken out of A&M this year.

Gotta be genetics, kid looks lean, and didn't seem to be having much of a problem doing it. Impressive.

Cory King is a bad example because he is a JAG type player you are comparing to Warren Sapp and King is unable to transfer his weight room strength into functional on field strength, especially for short yardage situations. Where as players like heurtelou and smith are good at transferring weight room strength into functional strength an these are the types of players UM needs on both lines now.

Go Canes

So happy you said this bro! Same thing with speed. Just because I guy runs a fast 40 doesn't necessarily mean he is fast on the field. Got into an argument with a buddy about Chickillo and Chad Thomas. Yes physically Chickillo is more mature but Chad Thomas all though smaller , is very physical and plays strong and is very capable of holding the point of attack. Many will disagree but in my personal opinion everything Chick can do he can do and he brings more of a pass rush.

How can you credibly claim that a true freshman who has yet to put on pads will play as physically and be as strong at the point of attack as a veteran CFB DE?

Allen Bailey was probably one of the most physically gifted (weight room) players in UM history, that being said, he also was one of the most underachieving players in UM history. But I get your point Paranos

Two big mistakes here.

1.) Your use of hyperbole.

2.) "Getting" anything from Paranos.

There's no way I can have enough credible intel to prove that however, I have watched Chad Thomas live along with highlights and film from the opening to form the opinion that Chad plays much more physical than chick especially if comparing senior tape. Chad is a better pass rusher right now. If Chick had an injury, in my " personal opinion we would not miss a beat with Chad in the lineup.

A DT, huh?

We'll see come fall...

yeah i dont get too excited about weight room stuff, i'm a Bears fan and they drafted a DT named Stephen Paea back in 2011, he set a NFL combine record on the bench press and has been below average to average of all the games i've seen him in.

Yeah but he had a long time to get his bench back up before the combine.

I saw Moten and D Jack at Footlocker yesterday and Jackson has to be on the Denzel regimen. The kid is thick. Moten was a big dude to. Nice guys. I wished then luck this year.
