The racism on this board is pathetic. Some referring to him as a "white boy". When's the last time you saw a black recruit being referred to as a "black boy". LOL

A comment like that would get you kicked off of the board.

We can all agree he is a bad *** LB, that would be welcome at UM if he was purple or blue.

Not comparing to Kuechly but he was the same way . See him off the field and it looks like he should be doing peoples taxes, but on the field he's a monster.

You sure about that? I've seen some pretty dumb stuff on this board as of late. I wouldn't put it past some of the porsters on this board...especially if we land him and there's a S. Florida kid that they like better than him.

Just look at those bytching about taking Braxton F'ing Berrios instead of Isaiah McKenzie. THOSE people would be dumb enough to say that in regards to Humphreys being a "waste".

I was in California training guys for the NFL Combine and had a chance to work with Ben. He is an awesome kid that is a football player. When he is on the field he just makes plays. He is explosive and strong (15+ reps at 225).

I would love to see him play for the Canes.
 
Dude reminds me of Luke Keckler (Panthers)! Stereotypes will always be part of the American lexicon. Kid is 6'3"! Can get deep on pass plays! Clearly fast! Is obviously smart! Good tackler! F that white boy crap! Those are all the characteristics I love in a linebacker. Stack talent and watch them battle in practice and you'll put a better product on the field on Saturday's. We still have to get Coney and Perry to have a top flight LB class. Kirby-Lane ain't coming. I'll giddy with those three athletic LB's.

Some guys named Morgan and McCarthy manned the LB position several years ago...yeah they were pretty good. AJ Hawk, Luke Kechley, Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews, Brian Urlacher...etc were all "white" and they balled out. If you can play, you can play, period. Tired of race always dictating sports conversations. The fact is this kid plays at a POWERHOUSE SO. CAL school against TOP COMPETITION nationally. He's a 4 star but i guarantee he will be a high 4 or 5 by the end of next year. He's a player and he tackles with aggression but w/ control. This is a guy I would LOVE to be apart of the 15 class. Yes we are all enamored w/ So. Fla talent, as we should, but other states and areas bring about top notch talent as well....see NFL rosters and pro-bowlers and you'll see So. Cal produces beast as well.

Except it's the white boys calling him a white boy. Is that racism when a white boy calls a white boy a white boy. Anyway who cares what color the kids are if they can play have a high football iq and are good kids. I don't care of they are black white yellow or purple.
 
How tf is someone named "topgoon" going to ****h about posters being racist when your name can be generalized as so..cmon bruh..everyone knew I meant no harm calling the white boy "white boy"..clearly I'm stating the obvious! Bit of a tweener. He looks small on film. Sight unseen, you'd think you were looking at a S prospect. The 4.5 is legit, the kid can really run. He's strong and uses excellent leverage in his tackling. His form was great and he really took excellent angles, which usually speaks to great instincts. He looks like he'd be a great WOLB in a 4-3 where he could run and chase. He'd fit well as a WILB in the 3-4 if you let him attack. Watching him track the ball over his shoulder as a WR was impressive. Comfortable in space, dropping into coverage and playing zone. Seems to be scheme independent. He'd be a star on specials early on with his speed and strength (TE's & LB's generally are great specials teams players due to the size combined with athleticism of the positions).

Real nice looking athlete. I'd have to carefully decide my vision for him and make sure he's a fit for what I want to run, but I like him.
 
So what is latests on update on this young man, now with Kaaya being even more crucial to the team I wonder if staff Humphreys offer committable.

So what is the word on the status of 2015 ILB Jamie Gordinier offer, is it committable also. I curious given he flew down to UM for two days on his own dime back in March. Landing these two would a very pick up
