Green and Cain shuold be head bashing LBers. But they had put on too much weight to keep at LBer. They are serviceable DE's for less than 10 snaps a game

It's no wonder we are having problems on defense. 25 players listed on the two deep defense (3 positions have 2 2nd stringers), and only 2 of the 25 are Seniors and there are only 8 upperclassman. 2/3rds of them are first or second year players. We have coaching issues on that side of the ball, but you aren't stopping anybody with that many kids playing.

Cain showed some promise at MLB in his first year. He has no business playing DE. He is way too light. Move him back to LB and see if he can take over in the middle. Which would allow Perryman to move back to his best position which I think is on the weak side. Perryman has been solid although out of position. Johnson has showed some flashes but no one else has done a thing. With Buchanan gone it makes even more sense.

Gaines started over him all of last year at MLB so not sure where you are coming from there.

Well if he is that bad at both positions then he shouldn't be on the field. He has done zero at DE. At least last year he made some plays against Duke in mop duty at duty. But just having him out there at DE is pointless. Might as well grab a fan out of stands. That would be just as productive as he is now at DE.

I agree and I think Gionni Paul might be another who may transfer if he dont get any PT.

I really wish they would find a way to get GP on the field. Kid could be huge in defending the run.

Or move him To MLB with Perryman and run some 3-4 to keep some of our DL off the field. We were supposed to be multiple I have yet to see much deviation from our base 4-3 zone system.
