Buford, GA 2019 group

Yes I agree...Just found it interesting that this along with other year a few years back is probably the most loaded Buford team in the last 15 years, and interesting that we will be heavy on both lines this recruiting class...And they have 6 kids combined getting power 5 interest on the lines.

I'm with you, more for an extra kid or 2 each year in Georgia hopefully.

Chess not checkers. =P

There was always a ****load of talent in Georgia. I used to see it in the old GA-FLA all-star game 30 yrs ago. We never recruited there consistently until Richt. You could count the Georgia players we recruited on one hand over a 25 year period.

A couple off the top of my head are Allen the Widowmaker Bailey and Rafael Kirby. But yeah, I don't remember many since I started following recruiting closely during the Butch years. Got Dallas and Williams on roster right now with more to come. It's not jsut picking up the talent that has me excited, it's the fact it punches UGa, FSU and UF in the face and makes them focus on protecting their territory instead of raiding ours.

Late '80's we had Shannon Crowell, a reserve RB from Atlanta Mays. We had that guy a few years back with all those knee injuries, Shayon Green?

Don't remember any others. On the other hand, back in the '80's we went to Texas a lot and got some blue-chipper. Then started Louisiana when we had Curtis Johnson as an assistant.

Wasn't there a more recent LB that was really talented but a bit of a head case from GA that was kicked off the team?

Eddie Johnson was here during the Golden era. He was booted for some reason.

And Shannon had an LB from Stone Mountain Stephenson. He was okay. Tyrone Cornelius may be his name.

I think Raphael Kirby and Tyrone went to Stephenson.

Matador, I apologize for the girl scout troop. They're just really intent on getting me to LEGEND status.
