Bryan McClendon comin'...aaaannnd he's gone

Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t read the 24/7 post as “Mario is racist”.

I read it as “Mario isn’t connecting well with inner city black coaches + players and his staff choices thus far aren’t helping matters”.

I really don’t understand why that has y’all in such a lather.

It was an issue with Golden, too.

🤷🏻‍♂️
Folden is from ******* New Jersey, Mario is from here. The whole article doesn't make sense.

Could the smoke be based in T-Rob, an African-American aspiring to be DC, and despite previous experience and success on the trail in Miami, being denied when there's an opening?
And B-Mac, an African-American aspiring to be an OC, with a record of success with Mario, aspiring to be OC and being denied despite a somewhat prolonged opening?
When folks start comparing notes they can reach conclusions, whether valid or invalid.
Yes. Uncle Luke already sabotaging Mario.

Uh oh RellyRell be careful @OriginalGatorHater doesnt like not tagging guys when you talk about them.
I can see I’m living rent free in your head, but trust me it’s not that serious on my end. I didn’t realize being content with receiving more money and better uniforms from adidas than Nike was like disrespecting your wife, I apologize for hurting your feelings

Anyways, back to our scheduled program…

-Losing both McClendon & TRob hurt, but it hurts from a recruiting standpoint as both are excellent recruiters.

-With that being said, both BMac & TRob’s recruiting “prowess” took precipitous drops after they left UGA & UF/Auburn respectively.

-In my opinion, this is more of a body shot, than a knock out punch. Losing position coaches is not the same as losing coordinators. Now, w/ that being said, if we don’t hit home runs on the OC & DC hires, then yes, this body shot will feel more like a kidney shot.

I wanted BMac here, but I was leery as well b/c of the story about his wife & her lack of feel for Miami, & make no mistake, wives’ opinions on where they want to live & raise their children matters. So McClendon going back to UGA, it is what it is. Just knock the OC & DC hires out the water & this little two week spell will be nothing more than a footnote.

You hit it on the head bro lol. Bmac never was and hasn’t been a top 5 WRs coach in cfb. If he was, he wouldn’t have had to go all the way to Oregon to get a WR job after South Carolina. His top recruit as a WR coach was Donte Thornton last year. Heck of a player but let’s settle down.

Sure I liked the hire and wanted him here. A loss is a loss, like you said but it’s not as drastic as some make it to be. It’s drastic to everyone because we haven’t announced any of the other hires.

Word going around is UGA is trying to find a way to get DVD to on field. And the Smith smoke is real.
…good?

I mean at some point you have to look at it in a way that you realize if the national Champ + top school the past decade are trying to steal multiple members of our staff before it is even 1/10th complete, it’s not such a bad thing… when you hire good coaches other teams want them… but when you hire good coaches AND Cristobal gets us back to winning too, then we are going to be something nobody wants to **** with, especially now that money and AD is aligned top down.

Correct; it hurts b/c we don’t have a staff in place. It was already tense around here as we see other new staffs filling up, & we’re still waiting. So again, losing two recruiters on staff hurt, but it’s compounded exponentially by our lack of coordinators.
