Where should the main focus be?

I am not from Florida but it seems like the true dogs who dont play games in recruiting come from Dade while the Broward kids tend to be the more immature types when it comes to recruiting and the Elites usually hold no loyalty to Miami.

Anyone care to help me out.

And I am talking about the born and raised. Not the Dade kids who go to Broward private schools.

Same can be said for Dade too(cook, Matthew thoMas, josh jobe and others who have spurned Miami) but broward is on another level in terms of trolling because a lot of broward kids seem to be bandwagoners and the county has no loyal to any school especially miami. With us having a bad decade of football Miami wasn’t viewed very well but it’s starting to change quite a bit imo

I think we have to roll with the punches for a little bit longer and understand that these kids grew up seeing the U at its lowest while they saw the gayTurds and Semenholes win titles and the SEC had a streak of 8 straight titles. But it’s starting to change and kids are showing excitement for what CMR is building here. That indoor football facility is also putting us back on an even playing field with the big boys. Patience Canes Patience. I’m salivating at what our Canes will be in the near future and believe it or not the college football world knows what’s happening and what’s coming and they are scared!

Aside from the private schools in St. Thomas and AH - which as OP noted have many kids from Dade - has Broward closed the gap when it comes to high school football compared to Dade?

I don't follow high school sports much, but back when I grew up in Broward and went to high school in the late 90's the talent gap between the counties was massive and few Broward kids played for The U.

It just seems like the Dade kids just have a love for Miami more than the Broward kids who tend to just be all over the place in recruitment and in their personal lives.

Dade down a little this year overall (by their standards)...Focus should be both, but Dade first and foremost.

Broward produces just about as much talent as Dade if not more in the last decade. Broward is for the most part suburban, with parents that are transplants and not from the area. U of miami is over an hour away from broward county and some parts **** near 2. No one trolls more than Dade kids. Broward kid recruited from certain schools are frontrunners. The talent gap between both counties have changed drastically even since when I was in high school early 2000s. You better recruit broward hard.

Cook and Thomas didn’t really troll, though

A trip from North Broward is about as easy to Hard Rock stadium as it is from campus. Family's should take notice. To ignore any school north of the Dade border is foolish.

If Miami had remained dedicated to football instead of becoming a DII program, these kids would have grown up seeing great players and championships. These kids have seen better and it was not a school that spent 15 years treating football like a janitorial credit.

And now that the school has decided to make football a priority again by hiring an SEC coach from a marquis program and building an IPF, guess what? The fans are still expecting someone else will pay for the increase in costs. The IPF still remains underfunded. "Not my problem" says most of our fans.

I thought the IPF was only $35M?? How is it still underfunded?

You say "only $35M" like that's not a lot of money lol

Marshall built an IAF that has alot more bells and whistles than the one Miami is building for $5M less and Marshall doesnt have no where close as much High-Roller donors as Miami, looked in a poor *** state and is funded by a state with no money and any money they have the give it all to WVU. If it wasnt for Chris Cline(Currently dating Tiger Woods Ex-Wife) it never gets built.

Dont give me that crap.

Public institutions vs private is different in regard to how the state funds projects correct?

The IPF is now fully funded, hth.

And comparing funding between a public vs private school is just dumb. UF's new $130 million project for example is being 50% funded by taxpayer backed bonds

Not talking about the stadium. Talking about the actual school they will be attending. Most broward kids don't even know where coral gables is..thats why they are so surprise when they hit campus. I like how were hitting broward n palm now though. Got to keep a presence. Also we got hurlie brown and some canes on the coast we can use in that corridor

That's why I said "Families should take notice." They will be driving to Miami Gardens to see their sons play football.
