I didn't win a national championship...

I beat FSU and UF

(It's all that really matters to me)

One of my favorite UM quarterbacks.

Criminally forced to play in a system that was not his strength.

In today's spreads with so much shotgun, he win NC and Heisman. Dude was great when not under center. Beat the feather heads and scales every game. If he had a HC we would be looking for our 7th NC not 6th.

I love Brock and defended him when he was being treated like the anti-Christ on Canes boards.

But it's interesting how much a great defense and special teams can change the perception of a quarterback. I wonder if Morris's reputation would be different on here if he played with those great units instead of the worst Canes defenses in history.

loved him...strictly a shotgun qb..was very underrated here..easily best since dorsey

a murderer's row of competition he beat for that title

morris, harris, kirby, wright, etc..

He had a good senior season but I still would not rate him ahead of Harris and Morris... Both players had better years than him... His junior year made people yearn for Jacory's junior year... I think his turning point is when they replaced him with Wright for a series and Wright was sacked 3 straight times... After that he started to play better...

Morris' constant 3 and outs and failure to convert 3rd downs has been a major factor in the demise of our defense.

Brock was similarly feast-or-famine, he just had better players on the defensive side of the ball.

Haha no... Do you remember Berlin's first year hear? That was an awesome defense and special teams... A 3 and out would have actually helped that squad... He was playing along the lines of Wright and Freeman and the defense remained stellar... Outside our weak opponents our defense was bad against everyone... Even UF with their impotent offense had a career day making trips to the redzone... No excuse for our defense... I think its really bad if you're upset with our qb because our drives didn't result in a score every possession... That's unrealistic...

He was a totally different QB out of the shotgun. I wish Coker would have tweaked the offense to fit his skill set.

He was but I think that is a bit overstated... I really think he was the only thing holding the squad back... We had running backs doing their thing... I mean Jarret Payton was like our 5th string running back at one point but he still managed to give us nearly 1000 yards... We had weapons at wideout and tight end as well... Every one did what they were supposed to except him... At one point we have to blame Brock for his short comings but he stepped up late into his senior year...

loved brock. kid was a warrior. what would have happened those 2 seasons had he not been here?

He had an incredible first year as a starter in 2003 when we wasted one of the best defenses I've ever seen because all he did was throw picks. Short memories. If he had a season like that last year we would have won 2 games.

Berlin, Harris, Morris Jr and Sr years:

Berlin 34 TDs 23 INTs
Harris 34 TDs 24 INTs
Morris 42 TDs 19 INTs

I think D$ is on to something.

I hope Chris Rix's tombstone is written : I am 0-5 against the U.

Funny thing is I was feeling kyle that 05 season. But that stupid *** pass on first down to Olsen in triple coverage vs gt put him on the **** list the rest of his career. Deservedly so......
