Brini to UGA

Wilson is a must get for Miami. If Rumph can't close on a former player that plays a position he coaches that will be a serious red flag. I mean what other connections does he need to pull a kid? He suppose to be tight with Chad Wilson and Family. Rumph needs to close the deal, no excuses. If he can't he needs to GTFO.

Peter Ariz, Brini says he will be taking all 5 OV, will Miami be one of them? Or are they washing their hands with him?

Ol Aziz right once again...
I'm told Miami cooled on him over the last 2-3 weeks. He was playing games with the staff and they did not appreciate that. Canes view Brian Edwards as a superior prospect.
I personally don't think he's that good. Thats my opinion from seeing him live and talking to some of his former coaches. I think Miami avoided a disaster here

Yup. Wilson is absolutely a must-get recruit for a variety of reasons. He's a gifted athlete from our own backyard with a ton of upside and the measurables this staff covets at our biggest position of need. His primary recruiter, Rumph, was his former HS coach and would be his CB coach here at Miami.

Can't miss on Wilson. Not with our CB situation, his level of talent, and the positive factors playing in our favor.

Staff isn't picking Edwards over him. They want both. This will be a battle but Miami is not worried right now

Which one is it? Did they cool on him or lose the battle?

Not only that but in friday's chat Pete had Brini as one of cbs he expected in miami's class.

I remember a lot of these kids playing with Miami like a Tim Irwin and look where that landed him, Good luck to Brini but Miami is restoring the Fact that its a honor to get our Offer and once we start Winning you will see how we Approach these spoil kids.

We're at big disadvantage when his brother plays for the gators . Like blades and Richardson will be hard to pull away from Miami . I don't see Wilson at Miami I hope he does just don't see it

Better land Marco Wilson and hang onto C.J. Henderson. No excuses given our disastrous CB situation.

I think CJ sticks, but I don't Wilson in this class

If that's the case, then that wouldn't be good enough. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

This staff seemed to clearly prioritize 4 CBs from the outset: Henderson (UM commit who nearly decommitted recently according to Pete), Wilson (UM vs. UF), Brini (UGA commit), and Davis (heavy UF lean). Missing on three out of those four, especially considering how abysmal our CB depth chart looks, would be unacceptable.

Wilson has always been as talented as anyone we're pursuing. Landing him becomes even more important now with the Brini and Davis situations.

The only two that are good is wilson and cj, one of which is committed to us, brini and davis are way over hyped seems like the staff feels the same

We need an instant impact guy at CB. I don't think Brian Edwards or CJ Henderson are those guys. I think Davis, Wilson, & Bandy can play day one at this level. We might have to go OOS &/or take JUCO players.

What does the kid expect? Pretty sure that happens to everyone who commits

Dean is another one that's a must get imo not brini who would get passed up in the depth chart once 2018 kids arrive

Staff didn't cool on Brini until they started figuring out he was going elsewhere. Chalk one up for Kirby and move on.

I wouldn't be surprised if they cooled on him at the end of the year or closer to signing day. He's definitely a plan b kid for them. They have bigger and better cbs on the board. state of GA is loaded this year with cbs.

And when I saw it, there was not a single Miami fan swearing at him. Kid was mad just because fans were unfollowing, which is normal in such cases.

That´s a Tyler Byrd type of ******ry

They wanted him, no question. But they didn't think he was a "can't miss, must get" prospect. Over the last few weeks they really have honed in on Edwards because they are becoming more and more confident with flipping Bandy and at the end of the day, if they had to choose between Edwards and Brini, they like Edwards. Would they have taken both? Yes, but at a certain point it becomes a numbers game and with the guys coming in over the next two years, Brini would have been on the outside looking in. A lot more Ryan Mayes in him than some of you realize.

Dawg fans thinking Coley getting who he wants in Sofla.

He isnt pulling the top guys from sfla. Brini isnt anything to be that excited about and they got ridley brother last year when none of the big 3 wanted him.

247sports has the knee pads out for uga (which I also support being in Atlanta and half my family went their). 5star tee Higgins from Tenn spurns UT and commits to Clemson but no big write up. 4 star plan b CB from south Florida commits to UGa and spurns Miami, HUGE front page write up along with another front page article about Kirby and another article about the top qb in 2018.
