Brian Hartline

He has. My point being he's not this mythical developer like people try and make him out to be. Fact is, when you are getting the top of the line guys every year, some of them are bound to hit. A guy like Jeremiah Smith or Garrett Wilson were going to be studs regardless of where they went.
And he gets them and we do not. That is the problem.

Ok, but he’s getting them and we aren’t. So what’s the point here?

Are you gonna post all the stats of the all first round picks he had or you gonna cherrypick?
He's had a few first rounders. Of those 4 players, 2 were 5 Stars, one was a high 4* and his only real impressive "development" was Chris Olave who was a low 4* coming in. In addition to those guys, he's also wasted Brandon Innis (5*), Gee Scott (Borderline 5*), Jameson Williams (High 4* who didn't get recognized truly until he got away from OSU), Jayden Ballard (Mid 4*) and Mookie Cooper (mid 4*). My point to this is that people talk about Hartline like he is some coaching savant when in reality he benefits from coaching for a very good offensive coach in Day and bringing in the top of line recruits at the position. You want to give him credit for his recruiting prowess? Fine, he's at least earned that. Miss me with giving him props for what equates to not crashing the ferrari.

To dispell the notion that he's some coaching guru that turns every WR he touches into a first rounder lol.

Jeremiah stat padded against weaker competition. even second half of Nebraska and Oregon, he didnt do much. I think that was more a will Howard issue though.

He had two good games against 2 of the better defenses in college as well. Went for 100 and a td against Oregon and 89 and a td against Iowa. Howard held his possible stats back as well. Several games this year where he missed him on throws or didn't look for him when he was open.
