Didn't Sherman begin his career at Stanford as a WR? I don't think this kid will be a 3-star at seasons end. As one of the more knowledgable posters said, Edwards has been playing against great comp in practice and games and it's showing. I think his upside is huge. Modern day Arab in the making. I put him up there with Steed as best recruits on the defensive side of the ball.

When I went to the SFE tryouts, I had no idea what any of the big-time kids looked like. Edwards stood out immediately because of his size and ease of motion. It was obvious that he was a unique athlete.

i been talking about edwards for 2+ years...and definately always wanted him over Brini. Dude is really batle tested...in spring i seen him play press, off covg, and safety a little bit..but mostly cb...and he was going against 2 div 1 dillard wrs

Color me impressed! I was slow to come around but it is very obvious that Edwards has taken a huge step in terms of development. If his development stays on this trajectory he will end up as a 5 star and one of the top CBs in the country. He is very impressive.

I admit I was bummed about the developments with Brini and Davis but Edwards changes all that. I trust that Banda and Co are in the process of putting on the full court press as I write this. If we can get Edwards to commit and flip Bandy we could have something special. A CB class of Henderson, Edwards, Bandy and Wilson would be unreal.

Everyone aware Edwards transferred to St. Thomas?

Have not seen that discussed.

Yes, he was one of the potential transfers I had hinted that STA was trying to get in a few months ago.


I must say. I was a bit cautious with Edwards cause he didn't play varsity until last season but he has really made strides from the season into the off-season. He's starting to play up to his potential. Some guys are just late bloomers, he's one of them. He caught attention early on cause of his size but he's really starting to become what he should be in the last few months.

3. Josh Jobe
4. Pat Surtain Jr.

I think Jobe is the best of the 2017 and 2018 group.
 
How realistic is that 2017 list of Henderson, Bandy, Edwards and especially Wilson? 4 CBs seems 1 too heavy in one class, even if 2 are hybrids. Not quite the top of the top of the list. But that's a **** of a group if it pans out.
