No, not a big loss.

He's got good size & upside, he's a WR/CB who has some good ball skills, not really a slam dunk prospect though.

Wesley McGriff just sinking his hooks deeper into South FL & establishing more ground with taking a kid like this early.

His rankings could rise over time, but with no camps anytime soon between now & next year, it's more than likely a take contingent upon how they see him developing by next year.

The state of Georgia will have a number of 4-star CB's in the 22 class, AU will without doubt be on most of them, in fact they already have Andre Stewart from Grayson committed, his teammate at Grayson Marquis Groves-Killebrew is a high ranked 4-star they're after, plus there's Travis Hunter at Collins Hill & there's Trequon Fegans at Oxford Alabama they'll be after.

They took Philip O'Brien from Deerfield way early this year, so they're probably jus told Dilworth you gotta get your spot now or it might be filled by next summer for the 22 class.
Looks like I might need to go recruit my old high school (Grayson) for the U. They're putting out some serious talent these days.

South Florida kid commits to school with almost 2 years to go before he signs, when has that ever been good for the school that landed the early commitment? Relax you guys. Chances are the kid decommits in a few months. Just stay in his ear and keep on recruiting.

Auburn has always been tapped in down in South FLA, they've gotten & continue to get who they want from the region.

Going back to James Bostic & Frank Sanders in the early 90's, to Stanley McClover, to Pat Sims, to Walter McFadden, to Ricardo Louis, Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean, Travion Leonard, Anthony Schwartz, Shaun Shivers, Jamein Sherwood, Mark Antony-Richards, DJ Williams & snatching up Ladarius Tennison from us. I don't even count Tim Irvin because he wound transferring to ECU lol.

But Auburn has always recruited FL & South FL in particular really well.

In fact, most SEC schools have owned FL for the greater part of the last 2 decades, especially at CB.

dont forget Corey Lemonier and Bryant Miller two Stud DE out of HS

AU definitely recruits and signs players from Florida. From my experience being an AU grad and lifelong Cane fan, a good amount of players that they sign didn't have legit UM offers (according to grassy/canestime/CIS, etc). Just to clarify not all of them, but I pretty much always ask on UM message boards when AU is after a player from Florida. I know for sure it was said at the time that we passed on McClover, Sims, and Louis. Guys like lemonier and therezie were said to be bought or had handlers.

Auburn has years of history at Dillard High in Fort lauderdale...it is basically a feeder school for dillard

Robinson Therezie was a guy I hoped would be Cane...S out of Jackson who signed with Auburn a few years back.

Speaking of Stanley McClover and Auburn: Stanley McClover has no regrets about making allegations

Some relevant info to this thread in there. Nothing earth-shattering, but still good to hear it from the source sometimes.

Auburn took a rb that is /was a big name at Chaminade 2 years back...they'll land something from chaminade due to him being up there and performing well. He is stillback at the school alot
Shivers was a take man never understood why we let him go.

Definitely. It started with Otis Mounds. Pat Dye gave him a shot and that good will has stood strong since then. Since that time over the years, there has also been "talk" that many of those prospects had difficulty qualifying and AU "worked" with them to get them in.

A SoFla kid commiting two years out, of all things to worry about this ain't the one
Best part of the 22 class is that we 0 commits.
Golden and cmr would’ve had us numero uno with like eight 5 stars.

Not sure if it was known but Stanley Mcclover is also Brian Burns older brother.

Brian Burns out of American Heritage that went to FSU and now plays for Carolina panthers. Stanley was also drafted by the Panthers.

Dilworth took the biggest jump this offseason of any prospect I've seen so far this year. I remember seeing him last year and I really did not understand why Auburn took his commitment. Now he looks like one of the top corners locally next class. He has really good awareness and tracks the ball well. He has three interceptions on the year already and has been one of the two best cover corners I've seen this year regardless of class. He also looks like he's grown since last season which is important because he sure was tiny.

At the risk of sounding like a Gator fan, any chance of a flip, especially if we get the other Chaminade guys?
