Still confident we’ll get some studs, but it’s nowhere near as optimistic of an outlook as it was even a month ago. I guess 5-7 will do that to you but that hype about the DL class being on par with A&M died out fast.

Nah. These names falling off the board weren’t trending to us. **** Gaby just literally said we don’t have a shot with this kid

Now guys like Scott, Breland, Stewart fall off…then yeah that’s a different story

We were 5-7 a month ago when some of our insiders were claiming we were going to kill it in june.

Honest question, what constitutes someone “trending to us”? Is it Crystal balls? Because if so, only Scott has a CB to us back in April and Gaby currently has a chastity belt around his CBs.

As for the guys trending away in his update there was a time when this board felt real good about Odom until he started getting Bama CBs recently. We all assumed we were landing Moritz and Plazz (especially after he de committed). We assumed we were one of the finalists for Staley after his dad said Clemson was out of it right before he visited.

As for Lightfoot, Gaby has talked about Miami making a move with him multiple times throughout this process and 2 days ago included him in his “Twelve prospects I could see Miami landing this summer” after receiving some “ really positive feedback” coming out of his OV.

For me the guys I think are Scott, Breland, and Stewart based on the conversations I’ve had off the board. What gets said here is not what’s getting said elsewhere, so maybe there’s a disconnect. Nothing has been a surprise to me so far.

I don’t know anything about Moritz or Plazz. Don’t even know who you’re talking about tbh

There’s this weird group behind those 3 of guys like Franklin, Jayden Jackson, and Kendall Jackson, perhaps maybe Lightfoot but I don’t think he’s ever been that realistic but that group seems to shuffle in and out daily. Im forgetting people because it’s honestly overwhelming to keep track of all the names just on the DL

What I see people say in here honestly blows my mind because it’s not based on the reality I see

There’s some posters here that are honestly so far gone or so sure of their opinion that there’s no point in trying to reason with them though so if people don’t agree with me, doesn’t really matter

Anyway…just rambling at this point hoping like **** we lock up this group we desperately need

Do any of those guys have commitments scheduled? Hopefully atleast 1 or 2 pop before the season

**** man I wish. For our own sanity anyway

I’m not trying to blow smoke or make excuses there has just been so much noise and nonsense I’ve tried to decipher it. So I’m kinda stuck on a certain group and we haven’t missed anyone from it yet.

It was inevitable we wouldn’t land a lot of the names but I think it’s looking extra bad because it seems they are falling off all at once
