Braxton Berrios

If healthy, he may return punts this year.

Berrios has one of the best 20 yard shuttle times you will ever see. Quickness in short areas is extremely important for punt returners.

collier would catch everything thrown to him. he was a solid player

He was under appreciated until he left... The kid was a straight up football player but he was no longer motivated to take his game to the next level... He was like 5-6 200lb but he was extremely quick... He was a good route runner and playmaker with the ball in his hands...

My stepdad works with his Mom in NC in Raleigh. She did tell us months ago that it wasn't that bad and he would be ready by fall camp for sure. To be honest she felt like he could've been running routes at half to three quarters for spring ball but they were gonna be cautious. It really wasn't that bad thank god. Not a doctor but coming from his Mom I'll take it.

Speaking of slot receivers,,,

I really believe that Malcolm Lewis could be deadly in the slot this season.

It's easy to sleep on Lewis because he was so ordinary last season (due to previous injury).

Some spring highlights showed that Lewis had some of his giddy up back.

If he is still progressing to where he was pre injury look out!

Malcolm looked like he got his speed back this spring. Our WR group could/should be scary good with Coley/Scott/Dorsett on the outside and Lewis working the slot and the possibility of White lightning (Berrios) also getting some reps.

Assuming Braxton is 100% does he still shirt? With Scott, Dorsett, Waters, Coley and a healthy Mal Lewis will there be enough balls to go around? When you factor in the RBs and TE into the passing game I just don't see a significant role for him this year.

No disrespect to the kid as I was clamoring for him to get an offer from the get and know how good he could be but he is going to have to blow the staff away from the start of fall camp to get any meaningful pt from scrimmage. In 2015 he should play quite a bit.

No problem with red shirting! It builds depth and allows people to develop! Win win.

Agreed, but you also forgot Waters in that group as well. We've got a great WR corps.

I think he can have the type of career Thearon Collier was headed towards. Berrios might not have any Hank or Hurns type seasons, but I expect high production every season. Such a freak athlete and he should benefit from some good QB play in his career. Can't wait.

I think he's a much better athlete than Collier was. His quickness, as reflected in his shuttle time, is off the charts.
